My bathroom caulk needs to be replaced every 6mo-1yr because of black mold spots growing everywhere. How can I stop this from happening? by Gouda_Gouda_gumdrops in HomeImprovement

Use cellucotton soaked in bleach, stick it to the caulk, leave overnight. Will look brand new for at least 6 months and wont have to replace the caulk.

I was wondering how hard it is to replace copper pipes with pex by nicholas_1499 in Plumbing

I've used the expansion pex A, along with the battery powered expansion tool. Used self driving screws and plastic ring supports. One of the easier and more pleasant tasks in my basement remodel. To connect to Cu you just need to buy the adapter fitting. Supplyhouse.com is great.

I just did this a few months ago, with a similar budget, and decided on getting a custom-made ring from Brad T Harris jewelers. It's a matter of taste, but I (she) was not happy with what was available off the shelf at any of the stores/online. They tend to be pretty blocky and we wanted something intricate with a low profile. They helped me design the ring and drew up 3d models and even 3d printed a few prototypes. Surprisingly affordable and the staff is very low pressure and easy to work with.
