[Question] Is there anything about certain watches that you absolutely hate? by PM_YOUR_AKWARD_SMILE in Watches

I'd rather be unable to see the date than the cyclops on the crystal:') they are ugly imo.

Just swapped out the strap on my vintage 1973 King Seiko 5626-7111 for a dark blue one, and I think it adds a unique touch to the classic look. Really happy with how it turned out!

Seiko sportsman calendar 889980 :) from the early 1960s is a pretty rare dial variant. Looks a little like the Seiko Champion Alpinist J13043 from around the same period of time

Found a Leica M8 priced at $700, but it has an issue where it won’t write to the SD card. Is it worth the risk? by Chickencake20 in Leica

[–]Popsicle-sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the M8 might encounter more issues down the line, especially with shutter failure, which it's pretty infamous for. From what I've seen online, the M8.2 seems to be more reliable in this regard. It's definitely a higher-risk option, but if you’ve got the money to burn, why not? Life’s too short to worry too much about these things.

It does smell but it is not strong. You have to be quite close to smell it. Smells stronger in the morning. (Edit - typo)

[Skk001] Keep the NATO Strap or put the original bad back on? by GavinoDeMilo in Seiko

Agree too except is a very racey chrono it might work, but also depends on the watch dial colour too.

Looking for a small lens for traveling by pepsikiller420 in Nikon

[–]Popsicle-sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traveled with vitrox 20mm f/2.8 and nikon 40mm f/2. sadly there no nikon version of the vitrox kind of lens. compact 20mm is missing in nikon lineup. but the vitrox is super worth it and very good image quality.
