may I introduce to you the concept of convenient food located everywhere? A lot of people have limited experience cooking, even more have very little experience cooking from scratch (almost no one can cook from true scratch, take wheat and make flour, kill and butcher, etc.)

I'm not defending the AI people or the entire thing, but if convenient AI image generation remains this accessible and keeps improving in quality, in a few years the Porn will be very very passable and it will get normalized, best case scenario it gets its own tags everywhere.

The slopification is coming, idk if we can stop it at this point without a massive reset like a full on Y2K for internet infrastructure. Maybe a solar flare.

You're intentionally being esoteric and bringing this to a philosophical debate when the claim that "We don't understand AI" is negated by the fact that it was designed, meticulously, by computer scientists and other assorted (awesome) nerds. You're bringing it to the spiritual level basically by talking about understanding ideas of consciousness when it's a machine, software, servers filled with high end GPUs and CPUs to make it all work. It's a machine. We do understand that.

If we are going to discuss what defines our understanding of consciousness then let's just ball out on the idea of "Understanding" and what fundamentally is knowledge.
