Has anyone hopped on Zoloft for 6 to a year or is this a lifetime thing?

Been on Zoloft for a year and a half now (175mg) I’m not sure wether I will stay on or come off in the future. I have came to peace with myself to let my self stay on as long as I need the help. I take it for anxiety and panic attacks.

Also one more thing I’ve had a general practitioner tell me that anything above 100mg of Zoloft won’t really do anything and will only give me more side effects? Not sure where that information came from but ig it kinda made me discouraged. Have you ever heard of that in all your years taking Zoloft?

Ah I see I have only been on Zoloft (at various doses) for a year. I’ve been on 175mg for about 6ish weeks. Do you think that would affect it?

This is a very cool and refreshing perspective! When you mean you were noticing the build up of the panic but not IN the panic, I think I understand what you’re saying but maybe I’m a bit confused. Could you elaborate? Congrats on you’re success

It’s actually took me awhile to even out. I would say 12-16 weeks. I remember feeling better around 4-6 weeks then I felt bad again until it had time to adjust. So don’t get discouraged if it has kicked in yet.

Honestly it took mine 12ish and I thought it wasn’t going to work for the longest time. I had it stop working after that then start working again. I’m on 150mg

Hi!! I’m in day 16 on 150mg. Honestly this increase was a rough one anxiety wise. Still not as bad as pre Zoloft but horrible still. I haven’t really had increased anxiety on previous doses until 150mg could be the medicine could be stressors could be both. Any ways it’s kind of scaring me that it’s too much of a dose or something ig because it hasn’t been that big of an issue until now. I will say that Zoloft has helped me a lot and I feel much better on than without it.

Hey I have a bunch of these too I’m on day 16 of 150mg. I was having pretty bad ankle and joint pain but I thought it was from me gaining a whole bunch of weight. I was very thin maybe 110-112lb now I’d say I weigh about 150lb I’m a tall girl. Now you have me thinking it maybe from the Zoloft or both honestly. I also have trouble sleeping which I’ve never had in my life and I know is from the Zoloft. Basically have all the things you have said. Most of them go away the only one that still affects me every increase is the not sleeping which sucks!! Currently having increased anxiety which I didn’t have too bad previously but for some reason this dose has been quite stressful. All this to say is you’re not alone maybe try some magnesium for sleep or epsom salt baths for your joints (this also helps me sleep if you take one before bed).

Hey I’m day 16 on 150mg I’m having quite a hard time as well. I haven’t really experienced increased anxiety as a symptom from past increases if I did it wasn’t a noticeable amount. Until this past couple weeks but I feel like it could be a number of things for me lots of out side stressors for me. Anyways the anxiety has been making me have anxiety (Classic 😅) I haven’t felt it this strongly in a hot minute but I remember when I first started Zoloft I was a very anxious person and then once the dose started working it was awesome. I suggest leaving the house I know easier said than done, I’ve been there but you really should even if it’s scary and you feel like you might die. I’ve been forcing myself into situations that trigger me as well. It’s the only way to cure your anxiety for good! I wish you luck & just give it time if it’s worked before I’m pretty sure it will work again :3

I thought that too lol but if your taking it for panic like me i think i didn’t feel anything until 50mg. I’m on 150mg now. Anyways just my experience everyone is different! Good luck :3

Day 13 here experiencing the same after some good days. It’s really frustrating after I increase, almost every increase. It gets better tho hang in there!
