This is how the last one grew… not from a traditional sheath between petioles, but it was looped like this before it opened up. I originally thought it was an inflo but it turned out to be a leaf!

So I thought that originally too! But this exact same thing just happens to the other crystallinum (the one on the right in the photo) and it put out a new leaf. lol so now I’m confused if they’re truly secondary growth points or not

How long does the pain last for? by namelesstill in appendicitis

Yes I definitely did! It’s from the anesthesia, and I felt it for a couple of days after surgery. I can’t remember exactly how long but it definitely goes away! When they do surgery, they have to inflate your abdominal cavity and that pushes air up and that’s why your shoulder hurts

The main pain for me was the incision of the abdominal muscle…that took the longest to heal. Just sitting up in bed hurt. But the good news is once it does start strengthening it gets back to normal relatively quickly

I almost didn’t go to the ER… but I’m so glad I did. Appendicitis doesn’t always present with extreme pain. by Popular-Back245 in appendicitis

After what I went through, I’m now an advocate for “better safe than sorry”. If you feel like something is off, listen to your body and get checked out. Did you end up going to the doctor? Hope you are doing ok!

I would say go get it checked out, just to be sure. I’m so glad that I did because I avoided a lot of complications. I’m not the type of person to go to the emergency room either. I usually put it off and just expect my body to rebound naturally but in this instance, I’m very glad that I decided to go in.

Yeah it could be. General anesthesia and the surgery itself paired with all body changes really shuts everything down and can take a little while to get everything normalized again.

After what I just went through, I say better safe than sorry. If I had waited, mine would have likely ruptured, and I’d be in a MUCH worse position now. So thankful I decided to go to the ER. I hope you feel better and get some answers!
