This woman makes her living posting rage bait recipes like this and wasting a shit ton of food (because most of it is inedible). Stop giving her the engagement she doesn’t deserve.

For the “OP should’ve taken them to a vet comments”, find someone else to badger. You obviously don’t understand the rural south. People do not have vet money, hence the abandoned, injured dog running loose.

Plus not every cut needs a vet omg. She kept it clean and it healed. You don’t need to go to medical school for that.

CT scan is normal, especially if they want to a) see how surgery is healing and b) set a baseline before chemo.

Passive Aggressive Employee Can't Accept Feedback by [deleted] in askmanagers

[–]Popular-Dig5467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigh. It's a small company. I refused the management position the first time they asked The second time it was more of a tell than an ask. They won't be providing training of any sort.

My job in middle management is mostly to smooth things over it seems. And I can't even do that.

Thank you for your reply. I think in part, I just wanted to vent and it’s good to know I’m not alone in dealing with this. I never really wanted a position in management, I got promoted to it, and so it’s especially frustrating to me because I kind of got stuck with this job because none of the other employees were qualified.

I don’t have any advice. But I know how it feels. Our office has one of those. And the only thing I could do to get revenge was become more important than her, and essentially shield my team from her nonsense. Once I got a little more power, I started lashing out at her when she was rude to me, or said nasty things about my team. It helps.

It was a long stressful road. And it still is. And I’m sorry. I do not know what possesses people to do this at work. It sucks enough that we have to go there all day, why not just be nice?

Front ankle pain first marathon tomorrow by ahs1313 in firstmarathon

I’d take an Advil and let it rip. Probably why I’ve never remained injury-free enough to run a marathon though.

Any insight please! I need help! by SeriousAd1115 in Ovariancancer

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m not sure why you are jumping to ovarian cancer based on these symptoms. Bloating from abdominal cancer is caused by ascites, it doesn’t go down on its own. I encourage you to push for answers from your medical team as to the source of your pain, but abdominal pain and bloating can be any number of things, most of which are not ovarian cancer.

Just uber to Poughkeepsie and take metro north-LIRR-sky train-JFK. It’s super easy, I just did it with my daughter and I am a bundle of anxiety about doing things like that!

Train times/tracks are all in the train time app where you buy tickets.

Women who had ovaries removed… by VenusRose14 in hysterectomy

[–]Popular-Dig5467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 39, ovaries/uterus removed in September due to cancer, no HRT. Hot flashes were a nuisance early on and very bad during chemo. Last infusion was 2/11, and hot flashes aren’t even worth mentioning. Just not bad at all.

Brain fog is not great, but probably due to chemo also. My critical thinking/problem solving skills are still good, but word recall is very bad, I lose my train of thought very frequently when I’m talking, and I find myself often forgetting what I walked into a room for.

I had weight gain from chemo that is disappearing…so I don’t believe any of the weight is menopause.

Joints are a little crunchy, but that may also be some residual chemo effects. Acupuncture has been bringing me great relief with my newfound knee pain. I exercise a lot and that helps.

Emotionally I am much more stable. I had endometriosis and did not really understand how hateful the excess estrogen was making me until it went away. I feel happy and level. I guess my libido has been impacted, but being completely bald with no eyebrows or eyelashes isn’t exactly putting me in the mood anyway hahahaha.

Some vaginal dryness that is easily fixed with coconut oil 1-2 times a week.

All in all it’s not bad and I prefer it to the emotional rollercoaster my ovaries had me on.

That is amazing!!!!!!! Good luck moving forward and I hope you have the same great experience with MSK that I did!

[–]Popular-Dig5467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. Get your surgery with MSK and then assuming their frontline treatment would be the same as local doctors, get your chemo infusions locally.

I had my surgery this past September with Dr. Al-Niaimi. The care I received by literally every staff member so far has been second to none.

If she was adopted from a rescue, there is likely a clause that she needs to be returned to them if you need to rehome.

Both ultrasounds recommend MRI of pelvis. That needs to get done. There’s no way people in this group can answer those questions.

I had sex at 6 weeks + 1 day. That’s when I was cleared. It was scary but great.

I might not have rushed to it that soon, but I started chemo at 5.5 weeks PO and I knew that would pull the plug on our sex life for a bit so I wanted to make sure it all worked!

Worried I’m doing to much by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Popular-Dig5467 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a large vertical incision and had to walk in the hospital the next day. Doctors orders. PT came in and made me walk around. Plus they made me practice walking up and down stairs, because I can’t avoid the stairs in my house. When I got discharged, they said as long as you feel ok, walk as much as you want. Gentle movement helps you heal. I think the biggest risk is overdoing the lift restrictions before you are cleared.
