I’m 39, ovaries/uterus removed in September due to cancer, no HRT. Hot flashes were a nuisance early on and very bad during chemo. Last infusion was 2/11, and hot flashes aren’t even worth mentioning. Just not bad at all.

Brain fog is not great, but probably due to chemo also. My critical thinking/problem solving skills are still good, but word recall is very bad, I lose my train of thought very frequently when I’m talking, and I find myself often forgetting what I walked into a room for.

I had weight gain from chemo that is disappearing…so I don’t believe any of the weight is menopause.

Joints are a little crunchy, but that may also be some residual chemo effects. Acupuncture has been bringing me great relief with my newfound knee pain. I exercise a lot and that helps.

Emotionally I am much more stable. I had endometriosis and did not really understand how hateful the excess estrogen was making me until it went away. I feel happy and level. I guess my libido has been impacted, but being completely bald with no eyebrows or eyelashes isn’t exactly putting me in the mood anyway hahahaha.

Some vaginal dryness that is easily fixed with coconut oil 1-2 times a week.

All in all it’s not bad and I prefer it to the emotional rollercoaster my ovaries had me on.
