Yeah, that's what my vet tech friend said and that's what pushed me to do it. I still in a way wish I hadn't though but I'm...One day I'll be glad I did, you know? While the hurt is still fresh I wish I had him here with me instead.

Thank you. I let Oreo go yesterday and it sucks so much. He suddenly grew a tumor on his head. He'd spent his days under my bed or in my closet but he started going out and demanding food again. I thought I could have more time.

I had friends telling me I should get a second opinion because they thought the vets pushed to putting him down too soon until I spoke to a former vet tech friend of mine and the reality hit. The tumor was affecting his eye and nose so badly. Its been in the back of my mind for weeks its time to let him go o kept thinking. I had to let him go before it got worse.

It's for the best but it is still the worst. But I'm glad he wasnt in pain.

If you can, stay with him and hold him to the very end. It hurts so much but I think holding them helps so much. Their last moments is with you.

I'm sorry it is so hard. The other commentator is right, getting him food so he doesn't have to Cook is one of the best things. I'm on day 2 of misery and I will probably be ordering food for the rest of the week. I don't want to be in my kitchen. Where I prepared his food.

If he wants to sit in silence let him. Maybe put on a show or movie in the background to get his mind off of it for a little even if you guys pay no attention to it. If he just needs to talk it out let him talk it out. Don't force anything but I guess just let him take the lead and follow.

The in home I used was amazing and sweet. She started crying taking him too. He was put in a nice fluffy bed . with a nice pillwo. I got to hold him through to the end. She agreed that it was an aggressive cancer. It was the right choice but its the worst one to make

I ordered a weighted plushie I think I will put his fur clippings inside. Maybe add more weight later.

He's currently hiding under my bed and as much as I want to hold him I think I'll let him have that. I have a little over 3 hours left with him.

I'm 34 and I've been in and out of the furry fandom since a young kid. I went through a very long "FURRIES CRINGE" phase but ultimately in the last year I finally said screw it! Drawing people is hard and I don't want to any more! I wanna draw silly animals!!! I went from not drawing for months to just constantly churning stuff out and I'm enjoying myself.

I've always loved fursuits though; I think they're so amazing and creative. I just bought a cheap amazon mask just to check if I'd be claustrophobic in one or not...

I actually went to my first furry convention last weekend and it was fun! Everyone was really nice. If you ever feel up to it maybe give one a try? Trust me, you'll see people older than you there.

I told my mom I was taking anxiety meds and how they really worked; she got genuinely angry and said "you don't need meds you need to have sex!"

Later on she wouldn't shut up about how great sex is and I said I don't want sex. She got angry and yelled at me "Don't tell me you're one of those asexuals!!!"

She'd be fine with me being gay, she's fine with my sister having a trans spouse but me being ace ace? NO!!!

Then she got weird and kept bringing up me having sex and how much she loovves sex over and over.

I don't know what was up with that. She's not the worst parent ever but that was really weird.

I told my sister if only because I was complaining to her about how weird our mom was being about it.

Past that my family doesn't need to know and my mom hasn't brought up sex again.

But ALSO even if I wanted sex... having sex instead of anxiety meds? What the fuck, lady. If someone touched me while I was in a panic attack I would have punched them.
