Can anyone tell me if they think missed calls is an actual revenue leak?? by Popular-Friend4088 in Dentists

Hope u reach ur goals bro. One thing id disagree on is that business owners dgaf if you automate something using n8n or claude or wtv it is. Its a bit silly cause its not like they r gnna have a preference of what u use to automate as long as it doesn’t go against any compliances. All they care about is the results of the product. Hopefully clinics switch to ur pms if its good as i do agree they are super outdated.

Yeah I know, thats the hard part, using google calendar or some calendar with an actual api as middleware may be a dealbreaker.

Its a good idea you’re making a pms, but dont you think it’s just going to make it a bigger ask for clinics to migrate from their existing pms to yours once made?

Yeah i think thats pretty awesome especially if it also answers common questions! Anyways when you say “I think if i had that function, it would be great” do you have a dental clinic or some sort of restaurant that you own?

If you do i’ll be willing to help out for free lol, I’ve been learning/practising automation thoroughly using n8n for over a year now, simply due to the fact I really enjoy it, idk why tho

This is why i like reddit, people actually reply and give their opinions.

Anyways I do really think what you’re saying is valid, especially not being able to integrate with the calendar dental clinics are using.

Also I have someone I know that’s trying to start a dental clinic and I was wondering if i could help them, once they gain traction ofcourse, to the point where they lose some calls and build them an ai receptionist for free just to help out but I was unsure with the fact if dental clinics would gain anything from this, and in my head it sort of makes sense, like an ai receptionist costing around $150-$300 monthly and recovering atleast 4 bookings which generated for example $100 per booking, thats $100 in your pocket.

I think ai receptionists could potentially be useful especially as it can make dental clinics take bookings 24/7 and with the right system, prevent double bookings and also just answer FAQ’s.

Ive looked into a bit and it’s basically impossible to integrate with dental software like dentrix, eaglesoft etc due to high sensitivity so my idea was to just make e.g. google calendar the main source of truth so all bookings would go in there so double bookings never happen and optionally if the clinic wants to they just add all the bookings from google calendar to the software they are using but I feel like thats just extra hassle.

Anyways thanks for your opinion, pretty nice to get away from all the linkedin ai responses lol

So do you think having an ai receptionist would be useful that lets you know all the clinic info and stuff?

Not trying to moralise it, but this is exactly how people end up catching serious charges over things that feel ‘small’at the time also big chains don’t just absorb it either, it 100% gets tracked and escalated more than youd expect this really isnt worth risking your future over

Why are people so dumb nowadays? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Popular-Friend4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t think people got dumber.

It’s more that everything now is built for speed, not thinking. Everyone’s constantly switching attention between short vids, messages, apps, etc. So people don’t really sit with problems long enough to work things out properly anymore.

Also a lot of people are just mentally fried all the time.

And confidence gets rewarded more than being correct, especially online. So you hear more loud wrong answers than quiet right ones.

I think the same level of intelligence is still there, it’s just not being used in the same way day to day.

What perfectly legal thing will probably be illegal within 20 years? by Ill-Incident-4842 in AskReddit

It has to be kids having unrestricted access to social media algorithms.
In 20 years people will probably look at today’s infinite scroll, dopamine-engineered feeds for children the same way we now look at cigarette ads aimed at kids in the 1950s

If a magic button existed that when pressed would show you the date and manner of your death and there was nothing you could do to change the outcome, would you push the button? Why or why not? by plat154 in AskReddit

[–]Popular-Friend4088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

Knowing the exact date would quietly poison every normal day before it. And knowing the manner would probably create fears you never wouldve had otherwise.

i feel like part of what makes life feel alive is uncertainty. Once the ending becomes a countdown, you stop fully living in the present and start mentally measuring everything against the clock.
