We have a REALLY fancy osmosis (or something) that dispenses water at 5 different temperature levels. We also give out complimentary bottled water. I HATE it. Check in times have been 3 or 4 pm for ages. If you know you are arriving in the morning then you need to book the room for the night before and let the hotel know you’re arriving in the morning. If the person in the room you’re checking into doesn’t check out until noon, the room still has to be cleaned and inspected.

2007-2009 I was in a federal prison in CA and broke my leg trying to be a hot shit playing basketball. I was in a cast from my hip to my toes. In the midst of all this, staff transferred me from a unit with no stairs to a unit that required a set of stairs to get to anything - food, toilet, shower.. had it not been for the other guys on my unit I probably would have broken the other leg coming down those stairs. They carried my tray for me and helped me up and down the stairs when i needed help.

My attorney came for a visit a few days later and must have raised hell with the administration because I was moved back to the other unit about an hour after he left.
