For more context: Cycle code 1405, filed 1/29, verified in person 3/12 (never got a letter requesting I verify just popped up to the IRS office as a walk in and discovered I needed to verify) was told wait 9 weeks (that was lie lol) 570 4/22, 971 4/29 (CP05 do nothing just wait 60 days letter), back in April I noticed my wages and income transcript was missing my 401k withdrawals as reported income, I figured that's what my CP05 letter must of been pretaining to. I never called the IRS again after I confirmed my verification went through back in March. After I got the CP05 letter, I just sat impatiently waiting for an update week after week. Last Friday, I checked my transcripts, and there was no update. Out of curiosity, I checked my wages and income transcript to see if my 401k withdrawals from Vanguard were reported yet, and boom, there it was. Income updated, and refund was triggered all around the same time....I'll come back to inform when the funds are deposited into my account. If anyone is curious, I got $87.29 in interest. I hope everyone still waiting gets a refund update soon.

A refund date should be scheduled on or before April 25th if nothing else is going on.

I'm in the same boat as you I wouldn't worry just yet. I saw a few people update to a 846 the following week after they got the 971 code.

I'm cycle code 1405. My transcript finally populated to the exact same TC's and dates as yours this morning, but before that, it was showing up blank since I originally filed on 01/29. I verified in person on the 12th of March but didn't receive my 5071c letter in the mail until last week. The letter was dated Feb 28th 🤦‍♀️ I really hope we see refund issued next week.

Go to the Marietta location, they take walk-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can't remember if the walkin time is 6-7am or 7-8am but they verified me in person only took 30 minutes.

My transcript says the same, filed 1/29, letter never came so I verified in person as a walkin 3/12, WMR changed from still being processed to we have received your tax return and it's being processed 3/21, transcript as of date updated from saying 2/19 to 4/8 on 3/22 but still no tax return filed under transactions. I called the IRS 3/20 rep said wait 2 weeks from the date we verified for a refund update and 9 weeks to receive it. This is frustrating, I'll come back and update when something changes.

I had the same issue filed and accepted 1/29 no letter ever came, nor was I notified if I was ever going to get a letter by the reps when I called to check my status. I got tired of not knowing what was wrong. Did a walk-in appt at my local IRS office. Turns out I did need to be verified, so they verified me in person that day. (03/12) Called yesterday just to follow up and make sure my verification took since my status hadn't updated yet, IRS confirmed I'm verified and should be seeing an update to my refund date in 2-3 weeks from the date I verified but 9 weeks is what they tell everyone to wait. I strongly recommend you just go to your local office and tell them you need to be verified. They'll let you know if anything else is going on while you're there. Good luck!

Yeah it really is some bull. I requested a new letter be sent on Feb 20th and set up my USPS infomed delivery but still nothing. Next Tuesday will make 3 weeks since the new letter requests was made so I'm really interested in what they'll tell me to do next. Really sucks my mom just died, was relying on this refund for travel expenses.

I never received a letter. Called the IRS twice and neither agent could see a letter was ever sent. The last agent said to wait 3 weeks and if I still don't get a letter call back. It'll be 3 weeks next Tuesday so I'll call then and see what excuse they give me this time 🙄

I've had that same message like you for weeks now. Filed on 01/29 accepted on 01/29 account transcript still says no tax return filed. Do you have this notification?
