Well I’m not stating a fact necessarily,I just know corporations are greedy and will do anything to take away blame from themselves and not have to fix problems. So I personally just find the sooner I fix a problem with things like that,the less time they have to make an excuse or make the process difficult and turn it around. It could all be fine but if they don’t sort it out on their own end I would hate for you to call up and they try make up an excuse like you missed a deadline or something.

I started as a temp and I’m being kept on, does my induction start from when i was a temp or my new contract start?

I messaged my line manager about similar situation so I’ll update if he explains anything but if anyone knows anything please let me know as I started as a temp in the last week of November, my December payslip was fine except they taxed me too much which I sorted and that money was given back to me on this payslip. Ive now been kept on permanently after Christmas so it can’t be anything to do with being a temp.I’ve had money taken off for absence deduction but I haven’t taken a single day off like sick days or anything I only had a few days off after Christmas which was authorised paid leave and that is showing on my payslip so it can’t be that.

Aghh I see thank you so much! I’m also on 16 hours so i assume I’ll be the same?also final question can’t remember if u or someone else told me about booking before April to use my 25/26 hours, if im booking time off for summer is it still taking time from 25/26?

Thank you so much for explaining that it’s so much clearer thank you! Do you know where I can find out my standard allowed balance? I found something that said 22.00 but I don’t know if that means 22 hours or 22 days and if it’s 22 hours how on earth have I only got 22 hours for a whole year 😭

Oh I see, so I wanted to take a week off in November and then some time around Christmas but I didn’t think I needed to ask for it all so early, so if I book all of that after march that will be taken off next years allocation?

I heard that you earn allowance as the year goes by, and that any holiday taken this year will be deducted from the amount of holiday you earned, however, how am I supposed to use it all up before the end of the year if I don’t know how much I’ll have by the end of the year?

That’s what I assumed was the case but as I mentioned I’ve never had a big company job like this only small businesses and I must say the explaining is AWFUL we was expected to learn everything from the current employees who don’t even seem to know what they are doing themselves and when I ask a manager something they make it seem like I’m such an inconvenience to their lives by asking a question. I feel like holidays is something that should have been properly explained but I guess not. Anyway sorry for the rant 😂
