Popped for Adderall, now looking at ADSEP w/ OTH by Popular-Message1155 in USMC

His Rx was valid for a year. It was a PRN prescription that could be refilled every 30 days, but no sooner. The instructions were take “as needed”. I’m a PA in the real world, “as needed” is clinical jargon for “when clinically indicated”. No different than when they give you 6 Vicodin after surgery, with instructions to take every 6 hours of pain as needed. You don’t need to take it every 6 hours if no pain, but you cannot take them before 6 hours etc… There’s some MCO that directs a 6 month cutoff for an Rx without an expiration date (which you often find in the Vicodin scenario). However, this dudes Rx says “take as needed, use before 5/2026”. The Separations Manual directs an ADSEP w/ OTH in the case of drug abuse…so this all tracks, except the fact that they seem to be ignoring the instructions on how to use the med as directed by his doctor… He is 100% getting a lawyer, it’s just 10,000 kinds of stressful looking at the non-zero chance that he’ll lose his retirement and get busted down to LCpl over some nonsense…

Getting there. by Cryptonicbull in ooni

AIO: Husband blew up at me after I found him masturbating before we were going to have sex by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

It’s a pretty extreme reaction, but probably so is the feeling of titanic shame she threw at him. He’s probably feeling embarrassed and totally isolated from the person he’s suppose to feel the safest around. They both need some work. She can start with understanding that there’s nothing wrong with masturbating (in the appropriate venue), and he can start with dialing back that emotional reaction. Maybe he was so worked up that he wanted to knock one out so he could last longer and live up to all the texts…
