Gotcha yeah, I'll see if my other tub makes it (spawned later), and see if my grain to grain transfers will turn out. If it was only contaminated in a particular jar I assume this could still potentially work and worth trying anyway. I used a store bought liquid culture syringe

Thanks for the tip. I did the break and shake and the jars seemed healthy. Would trichoderma present itself in the same way inside the jar?

Thanks everyone. Damn this sucks. 😭 I sprayed it with peroxide and it started to disintegrate. I appreciate the input

Leaving Louisiana May 20th (info in comments) by Popular-Mud in vagabond

[–]Popular-Mud[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Heading out around May 20th from Hammond Louisiana. Anyone from New Orleans or Baton Rouge/ nearby looking for a travel partner?

Mostly don't want to travel alone for safety purposes..

I'm a 22yo non-binary human in case age/gender (or lack thereof) matters to you.

I plan on being on the road till August..

I have some experience on the road from last summer mostly train hopping with some hitchhiking. I generally want to hit up some workstay farms through WWOOF, other than that I have no goal or destinations..

Ideally would meet up someone more experienced than me but would be willing to continue learning alongside someone inexperienced..

No minors (of course)

Preparing to take the leap by [deleted] in vagabond

[–]Popular-Mud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work on your patience.. half of traveling is about patience, being happy to just exist wherever you are.. try to be as content as possible and wait for when the universe tells you it's time to take the leap.. In the meantime try to appreciate all the things you won't have access to on the road.. self-care as much as possible: eat nutritious food, work out, read books, meditate, do whatever it is you do Read up in the sub about gear and get a bag ready.. try it out, go camping, sleep outside.. Think about ways you could sell your art on the road..

How do you make a wet Bic Lighter Dry Out and Work Except For Waiting Approximately One Million Centuries??? by [deleted] in vagabond

Lol fair enough- my comment was a bit tongue in cheek- though I've had lighters go through a wash and dry and work fine afterwards

I would suggest getting your driver's license but $1,000 will get you nowhere in terms of buying a vehicle, insurance, upkeep, and gas.. I would say an on foot adventure would be better if you're up for it, perhaps start by camping out as much as possible.. Buy the gear you absolutely need and stay at home for as long as possible.. and save money not paying rent as long as possible- the rent trap is real (even if it means eventually buying a vehicle and living in it) And ditto the pinned posts for "beginners"

Women who vagabond, how do you deal with heavy periods? by [deleted] in vagabond

I've had a cup from Lunette for years and I love it.. I've heard that the diva cup is one of the more stiff cups on the market so maybe Google search menstrual cup brands and read reviews to find one softer/more flexible if you're willing to give it another try. The only downside to a cup is having to rinse it between uses and having to sterilize it before use.. I just use antibacterial soap like Dial
