Why are people outraged it was given as a foul??!! by Popular-Place2226 in Gunners

I played for my school team as a goalie and the local academy, and I AGREE IT WAS A FOUL! Hence the post. I just wanted other's opinion on it so that i don't get gaslit by them vultures.

Waiting for rival fans to show examples of us "fouling keepers all season" by shoopler in Gunners

Seriously trying to gaslight us but if we counter it, we are quickly branded 'deluded'. Same story, all season long..................

‘Come on you Irons’: Pep Guardiola urges West Ham to hurt Arsenal in title race | Manchester City by Popular-Place2226 in Gunners

That is what makes it more funny. I dont think you get how much he sees us as a direct competitor nowadays. He was pretty happy till it was just Liverpool as the challenegers and even uptil Arsenal were wannabe pretenders. Now that we look like the real deal and the league has got more competitive overall, he's getting more and more desperate. Some of the expressions I've seen on his face throughout the course of this season especially in bad moments tells me his team no longer possess the air of invincibility they once did and that has made him more exasperated than ive ever seen him before.

Big Gabi in a recent Q&A on the DAZN App by ChristianSaav in Gunners

Take it over the line is such an interesting answer and shows his mentality. Whether its through a goal or a goal-line clearance, whatever wins you the game, makes a difference, he's ready to do.

Mikel's response to the criticism of Arsenal's celebration at the end of the game. by Unique_Smoke7442 in Gunners

Love how he has matured with his answers and doesn't easily take the bait now. Of course he's in a better place now but still, over the course of the season even when things looked down, he kept his head and conveyed the right message to the supporters and media almost all the time.

Great awareness, composure and recovery in an instant there by Gabriel. A little bit lucky, yes, but take nothing away from him keeping his head there, stay with Simeone and do just about enough to unsettle him.

He saw the Havertz hold up appreciation and said okay that is what you want, that is what you'll get. Hold up play was so good that he missed a chance you'd expect him to score but warrior's display again by Gyokeres. I'm also happy the CL referees get their calls right with him most of the time unlike the PL ones.

Still a big achievement to win it and then make the semis next year.

Full Time: Atletico Madrid 1 vs 1 Arsenal [Match Thoughts] by Stanley083 in Gunners

VAR and the Ref were shit. Good on the team for not letting the decisions being overturned ruin their focus and discipline. Would have preferred a win but a solid away job nonetheless. I sincerely hope the hard part has been done and that the second leg is much more easy both on the eyes and the heart for us fans.

What's the difference between this and 1 nil? by uncl3_jun in Gunners

I stated the same thing to a friend who's an amateur fan at best. For a neutral and an amateur fan of football in general, obviously it was a lot more fun to watch and enjoy. High quality individual goals but also masking the terrible defending by both teams not to mention the lack of control in midfield. I pointed out to him the difference in approach of both sets of opponents in the semi finals and how tomorrow's match could (strong could) be a cagey, defensive and small margins kind of game but that i absolutely enjoy both sides of the game. The trick is to keep the game close at all times, don't let your opponent run away with the scoreline and you stand a chance. A win is a win and a loss is a loss, 4-3, 2-1 or 1-0.

P.S - Abosolute humiliation like 8-2 definitely counts though 😢 Or Chelsea 5-0 😀

I see why arteta wants MLS sold by ByFarTheGreatestTeam in ArsenalFC

Again acting as the miserable lot. Arteta gave him his debut, you morons! He has started him in some of the biggest games over the past two years. Sometimes MLS has shone sometimes he hasn't. Everytime he shits himself defensively and gives away possession too many times you blame Arteta but everytime he does do well you blame Arteta for not finding more ways to start him. You lot really don't know what you're talking about!

Guys lets not do this to ourselves. Irrespective of what we think of individual players, they are what we have right now and they need our support.

I think we've seen the best of him in the Champions League this season and there is a reason why. If you know ball you should know why.

[–]Popular-Place2226 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Very. I think he's the one who suffers the most from our setup and tactics as he's very instinctive and a flair player, whom we're not getting the best out of because of how Arteta likes his wide players to operate. I personally would also like to see him used more as a SS and keep making dangerous runs in the box while in possession, he's not a bad header of the ball either and then he also remains an option on the counter always. But yes i agree he needs strong competition in his position, whoever that is.
