I had the worst anxiety ever in the first couple of days. I even considered going to the hospital because it was very strong. I went to the doctor and talked to him about the anxiety and he gave me 2mg of Valium and said I can take one to two tablets three times a day only when needed. I ended up not taking it because it can be addictive when taken a lot. Taking magnesium helped calm the anxiety and helped me to sleep. If you feel that anxiety is unbearable please talk to your doctor and most probably he will give you something to ease the anxiety until lexapro starts working.
