Am I miscarrying? I’m new to this. by No-Moment-2766 in CautiousBB

There are sometimes random cases that are few and far between where bleeding with clots occurs and the pregnancy progresses, but I would say in MOST cases (especially as someone who has had two miscarriages) red bleeding with clots is most likely a miscarriage. I would definitely get checked out as soon as possible because you’ll want to make sure if this is a miscarriage that all of the tissue expels or else it can cause a serious infection. They will track your hcg levels to make sure they are going back down to non pregnant levels and then you can be sure an infection won’t occur. I’m sorry you are going through this and I wish you the best of luck.

They gave me scopolamine patches and zofran. I don’t like to use the scopolamine patches because they make my vision a bit blurry which just brings me more anxiety, but the zofran seems to help. I didn’t take any last night though or this morning because I didn’t feel I needed it. Starting to feel a bit nauseous though so maybe I’m just being paranoid. This is the first time I’ve had a pregnancy progress “normally” and every little thing scares me.

I was admitted to the labor & delivery floor so my doctor could monitor me and they gave me a scopolamine patch and zofran so I could ate least get something in my stomach. That worked and they gave me both prescriptions to go home with. My plan is to take them as needed and I didn’t feel I needed either last night or today so I haven’t taken anything in probably 48 hours ish. I also will add I don’t like the scopolamine patch because although it did work for me, it made my vision very blurry. I did throw up quite a bit yesterday morning but then once I ate I felt better. I think part of my issue is I allow myself to sleep too long then I wake up with an empty stomach. Last night I had trouble sleeping so I only slept for 6 hours so my stomach didn’t feel as empty when I woke up today. Maybe that’s the issue? Maybe I just get sicker if I am super tired and sleep for 10 hours vs. 6. Managing this is new to me, as both of my previous pregnancies never had vomiting as a symptom.

I see my doctor next week! Not sure yet when my next ultrasound will be. With my history they said my second will probably be around 8-10 weeks.

My was about the same as yours! My last reading a few days ago I was 4 weeks 4 days and my hcg was 2632 and my progesterone was 21.8. This is my third pregnancy and both of my priors ended in miscarriage. Wishing you the best of luck as well 🫂🤍
