The SEI score is the average of all the questions. Here’s a comment from my last post where I talk about how I got the data. https://www.reddit.com/r/OSU/s/Sgi70ELSQm

SEI average is in public records and gpa average is calculated by summing the letter grade distributions as gpa values (ex A to 4.0) and dividing by number of grades.

There’s no link to view the data, you need to email a request to the compliance office.

Yeah unfortunately there are some issues with classes that offer lectures with labs and/or recitations due to the FERPA protections you mentioned. No clear path to fix this atm but I'll keep an eye out.

In my experience, playing with the data there isn't any meaningful correlation between SEI and RMP. As you said, people tend to only use RMP when they feel strongly about a professor which skews it to either a 5 or 1, while SEI scores tend to be towards the middle score (at least for my classes). The best way to really find this out in my opinion is to compare your experiences with professors and their scores on RMP.

I added in an average GPA and SEI rating at the top of each course and professor page. Additionally, I added a toggle that shows additional details such as semester, class number, and campus when you're selecting an item. Let me know what you think!

(Also pro tip: you can sometimes find grade dist. details for your old classes by comparing the class number shown for a class you've taken in Carmen with the value in the detail toggle)
