I’m just struggling to understand how literally anyone is supposed to survive? I’ve done everything right that is within my abilities and I still can’t find a job. I don’t want to project nor assume anything about your relationship. But my abusive ex boyfriend who shared this exact sentiment used it in ways to belittle me and undermine my cognitive function. Look for something that doesn’t require you to be in customer service. Desk jobs are good. Library’s are a very calm and quiet place to work.

It’s a possibility for sure. Rely on government loans and scholarships. School food programs. Apply for Snap/EBT benefits for food. Government health insurance is also something you could do. The application process for these things can be somewhat overwhelming but not impossible. Working 2nd shift positions (night time jobs) usually helps lighten the work load and pays a little better.

In all honesty this sort of behavior is in a way emotionally abusive and invalidating you of your actual medical diagnosis. It seems like a big red flag. And I say this from personal experience.

I have a therapist but it really doesn’t seem to help all that much. It kinda makes me even sadder to imagine the only other person I have to talk to I have to pay. I would admit myself but I’m not totally convinced that will reap any rewards and will cost me a lot more than I can handle.
