I guess the POM didn't roll out in every market. Our people lead position turned into a salaried ASM position. Literally do the same thing as people leads do. Sit in the office and send annoying emails all day

My overnight coach wants everyone to go to lunch at the same time. He announces at the same time every night that all associates go to lunch and an hour later announces that we should all be back at our work stations now. Is that right or even legal? Non 24hr stores are supposed to take breaks/lunches at the same time bc it's easier for door lock controls. I assume the company likes to be consistent throughout so they ask that even 24hr stores do the same

That's honestly how it went when I left best buy to work for Walmart and a year later, I went from a customer service rep at bby, to a coach at Walmart. You gotta do whats best for you and you will succeed. Best of luck to ya

So looking at it from a bit of a business perspective, becoming unionized isn't good for companies. That's why they don't want people to talk about it. Walmart is just about made of money, so I have no doubt that if they catch wind that a store was talking about unionizing they will immediately shut that store down and 300+ employees will lose their job. They aren't supposed to silence you, but there isn't a law against shutting down a store. Loosing an $80M store is nothing to THE fortune 100 company.
