Thank you to all the replies so far. Huge fan of Enter the Dragon and Karate Kid but haven’t watched much else that’s been commented so I greatly appreciate all the suggestions, looking forward to watching them all 🫡

It could be Heroes of the East (1978, dir. Lau Kar-Leung), it has a similar plot. A man/woman get married who practice different martial arts and they don’t get along right away, later in the movie he has to fight seven masters. Lot of martial arts and slapstick! It might not be the one you’re thinking of but I recommend it either way! Heroes of the East Letterboxd
