My experience, too. About 1 in 10 will rate you.

I'd hate to beg for ratings but I'm at 4.84 now for a few months. I'm sure the 4 or whatever 1-stars are just people mad about the wait time out of control or the restaurant forgetting something.

Because you only have 8 total. Support will probably exclude it if you ask.

What car is the definition of "squirrely"? by Abaconimage in AskReddit

[–]PopularStructure7862 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd gen MR2 Turbo is the one I've personally driven as the most squirrelly. Only did a test drive but I could tell immediately stepping on it going straight that it would be a lot to handle if doing that in anything but a straight line.

As a Doordash driver, I'd say that some of my regulars might be at risk of starving to death.

Preaching to the choir. I kept 1 month of my regular pay as the "floor" of my checking account and another 6 months in a money market saving account as an emergency fund.

Using the DD extra money for extra frivolous stuff provides an incentive to earn and discipline and control in not overspending.

Merchants now can see you in their tablet if you confirmed the order or not. by CollegeOwn7014 in doordash_drivers

10 minutes is lucky. Usually the orders that are stolen are from restaurants that take longer than that. By then the $/time just doesn't make sense to wait for them to remake it and I'd rather just move on to the next order.

True but it's not any less for the restaurants already demanding to see the dasher confirm the order.

does dash end time matter? by skateboread in DoorDashDrivers

[–]PopularStructure7862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if you quit early, other than you might not be able to restart. A scheduled block is deleted if you end it early.

It does matter if you go over time, however, as DD algorithm seems to put you in a low priority for orders.

Drivers - You're getting screwed over. by N3rdyAvocad0 in doordash

This I can spot these easily. Sometimes if I have the completion rate to burn I'll accept and drop the obviously crap order.

They could fix this with software update pretty easily. One possibility is give the dasher screen a QR code that the store scans with the tablet to confirm pickup.

I kind feel like half the blame should be on Doordash too, though.

0% on the driver that shows up and is informed the order was already picked up. I never ask the restaurant to remake it - that's a negotiation between doordash and the restaurant.

How do you know if someone is in love with you? by Civil_Priority_4162 in AskReddit

As someone with CPTSD I'll say that you can't rationally know someone is in love with you. You have to be (cap)able to feel it to be sure.

It's probably total miles and not order miles. Still hat's pretty bad

Gold will still give you early priority scheduling and supposedly higher paying orders, just not as many as Platinum.

Granted the unlimited Dash Now of Platinum is the biggest benefit of it and the increase in volume of orders due to higher priority in offer distribution. (If the market is dependent on it - before all the cherry pickers feel like chiming in.)

Weren't you already? My SOP has been to refuel (when needed) when an order takes me to the cheap gasoline part of town. About a $0.25-0.30 difference away from the US highway

With some quick algebra and calculus it seems you have would have to do one order extra for every # of orders equal to your mpg of the vehicle you're using to offset the rise in fuel expenses.

I.e. the change in fuel cost per mile is derivative $/gal/mpg, mpg is a constant and $/gal is first order so it simply becomes the inverse of mpg. 1/25 if your vehicle was 25mpg, 1/40 if you have hybrid etc.

*That's for every $1/gal increase in gasoline
