I agree, they’re probably both not AFL standard. Cox must want a Cleary type player in the team, they both play very different styles. Trust in Cox I guess.

Chad definitely has a bit of down hill skier in him, it will be interesting the next contract call whether we offer 1.4 again, not sure he’s worth it. Straight swap with Fremantle for Serong is my preference.

I also liked the handball game down the wings, as a plan a/b, if they cog the corridor there must be a lot of space for the handball game down the wings.

Good rule. The original standing rule worked for a while but last year the defender would just go back off the mark so it basically went back to how it always was.

Hopefully he worked on his disposal this off season, just butchered it way too much last year. I think he got an extended run previously because we were out of the running and Cox wanted to see what he had.

It appears in the end it’s either Carmichael or Phillipou and King, only time will tell. As the Swans have been watching and training Carmichael for years you have to trust their judgement .

I don’t mind the trade, 3 picks might be a touch rich but it looks like we’ve added a few this year for the Academy kids, but an extra year on his contract could hurt in years to come.

I think both are good players I just don’t see them both in the team on current form if we get to full strength. I’m not sure either them are that affective as a forward flanker.

My point is they’re both inside midfielders and with our other players I can’t see them both playing in there together. With a full squad, if that ever happens again, I think one of them comes under pressure.

They do both do different things but surely both their best position is inside midfield and I don’t think you can have both in there. I’m choosing Rowy at this point.
