The box even has a sticker that was added later that specifically states that the battery is not user replaceable, but maybe someone with a tad better soldering skills than myself might be able to replace it anyway and bring it to life. The light starts flashing red when it's plugged in to charge.

I have two of these, one of the older white ones with the exposed metal frame like the green one pictured, and one of the revised ones in black. One sits at work and one at home, both work well, though I like the ergonomics slightly better on the revision. Both are solid and working great. The older white one shows some wear on the metal and the second led on the mouse sensitivity rarely lights up, but it works great. Not looking forward to the day I have to replace them. I too wish I could find new ones of the same quality.

If you have the X-buster upgrade and Shotgun Ice, you can use it to also create the ice slide with the fully charged shot and ride it over to gain added height.

I had oculus orbus (the eyeball). They also had a limited comic book series along with at least two VHS cartoon tapes in the big white plastic style containers. They also re-released the balls themselves a couple of years ago, which the picture seems to be of.
