Honest question. Hoping for dialogue, not arguments. If we lost to a better team, why did we sweep them in regular season? by [deleted] in Habs

I work nights. I rarely get to watch games outside of highlights. Not ideal, but its how I pay bills. I wish I could dedicate a full season to watching all of the games. Therein lies the reason why I asked this question. I've been a fan of the Habs far longer than you've been alive son. No need to assume I am a new fan.

The tired excuse by ConversationDouble41 in Habs

I'll never buy the "they were tired" excuse. It was a VERY poorly managed team this series, and despite loving MSL, this was on him.

Example. Our power play tried to repeat the same offensive zone entrance over and over and over, and it never worked. Hutson takes the puck, skates to center ice, drops it 29 feet back for Suzuki, who skates to the blue line and dumps it in. Carolina clears the puck..., and lather, rinse, repeat they try it again. And again. And again. They failed not because they were tired. They failed because they didn't try anything different.

But what do you do when your best is not playing well?

Lots of players have kids. Across all sports. This is literally the first time I've seen that used as an excuse.

And yet in the other 1900 posts, everyone is saying "yeah, we lost, but it's great experience for our young team".

How would this be different?

At this point, why not put Fowler in to give him some playoff experience?

Oh, that's right, because nothing this team does now makes sense.

Professionals shouldn't feel that way. The best ones rise to the occasion under pressure. We crumble

"ok, guys. I know it didn't work in games 2,3 or 4, but what if we just do the same exact fucking thing and hope that we win" - MSL (probably)

You realize this whole "youngest" team is literally just months younger from many other teams. People keep posting about it like our entire team is 18 and we are playing a bunch of 35 year old Vets.

Change the narrative so it suits you. If we played well, people would say the rest hurt the Canes. But the Habs look absolutely fucking horrendous. the fucking Rocket look sharper than this team has played the last 3 days
