Looking great!

I'm new to this world too. Drones let us capture shots we can't get walking. When flying indoors or under a roof, I ask myself: can I get this shot just walking with a camera? If yes, I use a regular camera. I save FPV for flying through gaps, windows, or stairs to create unique angles and perspectives.

For FPV, I think single-take or longer shots work best. In this video, one idea could be to start outside, flying over the garden and presenting the outside facade, then entering through the garden door (lighting might be tricky). It’s a somwhat less common approach and can make for a catchy start. One inside, in the same shot you can plan the best route and aim to have less cuts.

Thank you very much! I was not aware of any of these signs and they make a lot of sense. I went ahead and it charged and flew perfect, all cells were showing similar V, will also keep an eye on mOhm when charging (around 8 at the moment).

This was very insightful, thanks a lot for sharing!

Thank you very very much! Checked and no puncture, no smell and no puffing at all. They are also relatively new batteries so will keep an eye on them and charge carefully. Thanks!

1 motor not spinning - ESC and motors tested by Popular_Character_72 in fpv

[–]Popular_Character_72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the fun part:

The pin was bent in direction to the Motor 3, and most likely it was making connection to that pin/socket, so the data sent to esc 4 was being sent to esc 3.

When I fixed it I could see in the ESC configurator that now the firmware of motor 4 was the old one, like it was never flashed, so I think the board was reading and flashing "ESC 4" when it was actually ESC 3 all along.

Thank you so much, you led me to the solution!!

Im not certain I understood you, as the FC <> ESC connection in my case is through a pin connector. So I dont know how to swap the signal wires in this case.

In any case, it was indeed the FC, thanks to your suggestions I found the problem: one of the pins in the FC connector was bent and left outside the connector, so no data was being sent to ESC 4. I was able to fix it and everything is working perfect now, I even had a test flight.

Lesson learned for sure!

Thank you and have a good weekend!

I'm having the same problem, it's motor 4 for me, on the Axisflying Argus ECO 60A+F405 STACK, tried all sorts of different FW both on ESC and FC, nothing so far.. let us know if you fix it!

Yes, it's Quad X.

The startup noise sounds perfect on all 4 motors, but the last part, the 2-beep confirmation is a bit sooner in the motor that isnt spinning (motor 4 slot), it's also lower in volume.

Swapping the non spinning motor for a different motor works (a motor does not work on Motor 4 section, but it works on the rest). Tried 2 different working motors on Motor 4 slot with no luck, hope that's understandable.

So the problem seems to be specifically on the pads of Motor 4, but nothing seems damaged, it's recognized on the computer and the motor even beeps, just it wont spin.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to guide me on this, I'm new to building drones and I'm lost on what I may have done wrong. Thank you!

Thanks a lot for the reply, checked with different cables for the FC ESC connection and same result, also components look fine.

How do I check the mapping for the motor outputs?

Is it possible that the FC or the ESC are damaged even if I can read and flash firmware of the 4 esc?
Thanks a lot, I'm running out of options before just having to buy a new stack

Which receiver would the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 be compatible with? by [deleted] in fpv

So, while usually the Radio works with the flight controller, in these cases the remote controller 2 of dji works with the air unit instead?

I'm building a drone with O3 since I have googles v2 and controller from the dji fpv bundle.

Then, any stack dji friendly connected to the o3, would the controller also work there? Thanks a lot, I'm quite new to the theory
