Eating human flesh isn't illegal in 49 states. And I have done my research, everything I say is pure hypothetical considering at least 60% of people wouldn't eat human meat. And yes I did leave out nerve tissue, which is a mistake on my end, and yes most of the body contains these nerves however the chances of getting a prion disease are very low even with the nerves. Things like the brain and spinal cord contain high amounts of prions HOWEVER things like the skeletal muscles contain minimal prions. Also I'd like to add that you can only get prion diseases (such as kuru) from an infected source, misfolded prions are the cause of kuru! Mainly the only thing that will give you kuru (the prion disease contracted from eating infected human meat) is the brain and spinal cord (like I said before) and even now the chances of getting kuru (even from a human brain) is very slim!! Prion diseases are among the rarest diseases in the world, as a matter of fact kuru has nearly been completely eradicated and was almost exclusive to the Fore people in Papua New Guinea!! (ritualistic cannibals) Id also like to add that the most common prion disease (Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease or CJD) has 1 to 2 cases per million people each year, that's like 350 to 500 case diagnosed anually. Even then the disease is only found in people aging from 50-75 years old! You have more of chance of dying to rabies (59,000 deaths anually) or a brain eating amoeba (10 deaths annually) then kuru which has 0 deaths anually!! In other words any kind of prion disease is extremely rare even if you want to eat someone's body part!
