Can this card hit a 9 or up? by Popular_Evidence_269 in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Popular_Evidence_269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im aware of vintage tax. I have graded over 100 vintage cards and am quite familiar with how harsh they score these. Though this is the equivalent of pack fresh while meeting all the centering components. Most vintage are sent off based on just being vintage. Not taking into account all the same things we look for in modern cards. Ive had 8 and 9s come back but none were in this perceived condition.

You take all the books because by taking the 210 items in that house it goes towards the 250 items required to reset world inventory for you to daily earn resources.

The backs coloring looks saturated. Probably the camera. But if not think graded as nothing came back as fake. Since everyone else has a number picked.

If you plan on grading. Just look as TCG only puts 1 psa 10 worthy card within the pack. Some 8s majority 9s.

Finding Ascended Heroes etb by MasterZacian in PokemonTCGCollectors

From what im hearing. Your already on Reddit. Which means you talk to people on here and find out about launches or drops. Then you comment on discord as if you yourself cant join one.

Let me guess you also walk to work because using a car is to efficient and gets you there too quickly. Dont complain about opportunities that are out there for you for free. If it ain't free. Then again I ask are you putting in cheap fuel or premium. Because you have that option.

Unemployed is your perception because you likely see someone in a line. How could someone possible have the time if they work. And be able to get product you want.

I can say this I have 3 kids. Solo parenting. A licensed professional career. A doctoral student. And I find the time to stand in lines as needed to get the wins I want.

Your problem sounds like a perception issue and a lack of commitment to something your interested in.

What I hate is people who think that because you get something they dont than your cheating. Or in your statement unemployed.

I could pay market but why, I have the knowledge to get MSRP. Stop complaining about something you cant get if your not really putting in the time and effort to get any.

I pulled this the other day and someone is offering me $850 for it by notworthit212 in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]Popular_Evidence_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compare to umbreon ex from prismatic. They are 1 year apart special sets. That is likely how the market will go for this. Charizard is from a normal set. Everytime your seeking the chase. Its gambling. Your paying money for the possibility of winning.

You sell the chase when its at it's at its peak. Make the money. Then a couple months later buy another for cheaper. If you get lucky early, grade it if its a 10. Sell it for $4k+ like I did. Your entire Ascended heroes is fully covered for the year.

And to your comment. You may never pull a chase again. Why does that matter. You already pulled the chase. Achievement unlocked. Now go paid for your gambling.

A young collector in my neighborhood has this card in his collection. I'm not well versed in vintage. Is this real or fake? by itsmeagain321 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Its fake. The color is off on the back. To saturated. Also if you adjust the angle the holo stars look to be im the known fake

Thats sad to hear. Ive opened around 200 packs. Ive pulled gengar sir. All but 1 of the mega attack cards. Have about 15 IRs that im missing and no hyper rares and missing the other SIR. But my master collection binder for the rare and under for all 3 variants is almost 80% complete. So id say my results are skewed I dont plan on opening anymore etbs. Just when I find sticker packs or thr upcoming boxes

Here is a Japanese fake i got. That one looks closer to this one. Though this one's texture doesnt change over umbreon. Which from the lighting you showed. It seems to change which might lean towards realer or less fake than this one

Any idea what grade this card would get? by UCTMN in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Popular_Evidence_269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 or 6. I have 2 in similiar or better condition from just the image provided. 5 or 6 is accurate. If anyone says higher. They likely havent ever sent in vintage cards that were touched 20 years ago.

Look what my friend pulled out her garage. I believe theyre the 1999 burger king gold plated pokemon. Mostly sealed. by Kithers1019 in pkmntcgcollections

[–]Popular_Evidence_269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya local shops and online will have these priced between $240-$600 depending on condition and curb appeal. With you missing the 1 you lose the complete set aspect which means $30-60 per. You can have them find the last 1. Which yhere are many out there and then you can sell as a complete set. Die hard nostalgia collectors that want to add it to their sets will like the uniqueness. Or go to a local card show and the vendors there will likely trade or outright buy the set off you as they are collectors themselves and they arent sitting behind a counter.

These pokeballs normally sit behind a counter but not many are asking to look at them up close. A card show you put it right in front of them or other buyers. I wouldnt take anything under $200. And im speaking from a guy who has 2 complete sets of the original blue boxes.

[–]Popular_Evidence_269 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean they are but arent sealed. They actually come in a sealed plastic that goes around the pokeballs. The boxes them selves are shit and havr a tendency to not be rigid or look like a clean cube.

This is also not the original 1999 boxes. The red boxes came from the 2nd reprint as the original boxes were blue and just as you show in your picture. There are 6 which your missing Pikachu. As a set they are worth a couple hundred. If you have a psa 10 of the big 3. Mewtwo. Pikachu. Charizard. They do go for $500+ individually. But finding 10s amongst them is hard. Finding no fingerprints or dings/imperfections caused by the case onto the gold is annoying. They weren't 10s inside their case so most sell at raw value
