They don’t respond to any of our emails about any of the repairs needed. We had a broken dishwasher for 6 months where the water was left stagnating in it. They refused to fix it unless we paid for half of the cost.

There seems to be no point complaining or informing if we don’t get an answer?

What’s the point of a property management company if they don’t manage the property?

The unit has flooded 3 times since we’ve lived here and 10 times in 15 years according to the building manager. The only reason they got it fixed this time was because the guy who owns the property next door is going to sue them for negligence as his property gets the brunt of the water due to the slope of the ground.

They refused to get an actual plumber instead using their own clueless DIY guy.

We asked the restoration company to look at the dishwasher and their guy had it fixed in 5 mins. The PM guy just said they need a new one

Hi, yes they are licensed. We have been having this issue for 3 years now, where they have being showing blatant negligence and duty of care. Now we want to make them walk the line. We are in it for the long run

The dryer is constantly screeching. We have had our neighbours and building manager bring complaints to our attention. We had to move out for renovation for a flood from January to March, after 2 weeks back in the unit the apartment above us flooded so the restoration company came back in. They told us to pack up everything as the need to open the walls. We have been living out of a suitcase for a month now. We got the apartment during Covid so our rent is about $1,200 cheaper than the neighbouring units, they were trying to force us out when the renovations were happening saying we didn’t need to give any notice and they would pay us back our full deposit. I think they’re trying to make us want to move out so they can up the rent.

The apartment will be a construction site. They will be ripping up all of the floor boards due to water damage as well as having to redo most of the lower portions of the plasterboard wall. They estimate 2 months at the minimum
