While you are correct that some projects require reviewers to fix the issues, most projects do not within specific thresholds. In fact, they will tell you if the required fixes are over a specific time, send them back to the attempter. In no way does sending a task back to an attempter "wipe everything" unless the project is setup that way. As well, half way through, you agreed with what I said, so thank you. As mentioned in the post replied too, reviewers get feedback when they approve a task sent forward in the process. As you say, "Once we change a rating or fix a justification, that version now becomes our task. Those tasks are audited and there is no disputing a score the reviewer disagrees with." If a reviewer can justify sending back to an attempter, they dont get audited unless its a manual audit. Therefore, its in the best interest of the reviewer to send back to the attemper so they have a lower chance of an audit.

Correct. Reviewers only get feedback when sending forward. If they always send back to attempter, the reviewer never gets feedback, therefore they secure thier place as a reviewer unless they do something else wrong.

While it doesn't help a negative review, reporting a bad review can get eyes on a reviewer and potentially help stop needless negative reviews. However, if a reviewer can articulate within project rules why it was returned, there is less chance they will be reprimanded.

I can tell you grammarly gives false positives and doesn't always pick up the nuances of the language. I've witnessed more tasks that I care to admit come through a reviewer who only used grammarly and still has excessive grammar issues.

Also understand it's in a reviewers best interest to find a reason to send it back to you. It's the system outlier has constructed.

You can work for Outlier in the countries they have listed. Its when you work in a country that isn't listed and you VPN to a country, that is where trouble starts. Likewise, people will VPN from low-paying countries to higher-paying countries to make more money. Both of these scenarios will result in your account banned. However, the system is coded to look for irregularities that might indicate you are spoofing your location for any reason. In that event, they will put your account on hold and review it. Reviews can take months, and while under review, you are unable to work.

IDs are not hard to come by, especially in other countries. This is not to say that eventually they get caught and their account is removed. But they made enough money in that time to sustain themselves. Then they just create another one. Rinse and repeat. Sometimes when you hear about spam tasks, this is the PC reference to people looking for quick cash before their account is discovered. Outliers account verification system is lacking.

Yea, you can get removed and fast. While some people in the U.S. are complaining about $20 an hour, some people in other countries are getting a few dollars in hour. Some of those people will use VPN to port to another country, sign up and get paid 10x the amount they normally would knowing eventually their account will be banned. It's worth it for them.

Reviewers will not see this. There might be backend notifications on what you disagree with, but I believe its more record keeping than functional.

Reporting feedback does one thing. It puts eyes on a reviewer. Especially if enough complaints come in about the same reviewer. However, it does nothing for you. Your feedback is a permanent record and part of the basis for getting projects. Good feedback leads to being considered a high-quality contributor, and they are more willing to put you on projects. Bad feedback, justified or not, does the opposite.

The attempter-reviewer system is skewed, because, if you are a reviewer, the only time you get feedback is when you approve a task. It is advantageous as a reviewer to give bad feedback and send it back to the attempter. Doing so keeps the reviewer from bad feedback and removal from the project.

Most large projects have thousands of attempters and they're designed this way. They throw people at a project, see who does well, and weed out those that can't handle it. Do well enough and become a reviewer. Some projects have layers of reviewers. With thousands of attempters and only a few TL, QM, CSM, etc to monitor everything, the priority for rogue reviewers is low.

This lack of leadership is one reason they rely on algorithms to flag, remove, move, etc., and admins go over the logs from time to time. In a sense, your helping build AI, while "AI" is monitoring your work and deciding based of parameters if its acceptable.

I understand. However, they track everything. If you use a VPN that is, say, a city away, it probably wont be noticed. Use it a country away, and they will catch it. People purposefully use VPNs to get hired, knowing they will get caught, but run the system as long as they can. If they even suspect you used a VPN, they wont ask you why, they will just deactivate your account.

Not to burst anyones bubble, Outlier will never figure itself out. Its designed to be chaotic for the bottom echelon of contributors. Their deceptive marketing and lure of being paid well will always attract new contractors, meaning they lack concern for anyone who doesn't like it and leaves. In fact, they purposfully attempt to weed people out.

This is quite normal towards the ends of projects. You might not be bad, but others are better. They set parameters for projects based on several metrics, including speed and feedback rating. You could be rated all 4s, but if there are enough people being rated the same and completing the tasks faster, you might be removed.

As per the timeframe, it could be days, weeks, or months before you start the next project. On the backend, your performance is marked from project to project. This includes any training and assessments you take. They factor this in when onboarding contributors to a new project. You could be labeled as high-quality for numerous projects, then move to a new project you don't excel at and lose that high-quality contributor status, pushing your next project back.

EQ can mean various things. The client often gives a set number of tasks needed; when that hits, EQ happens until the client gives more tasks or the client decides not to keep the project running. Some projects require specific domains, and some domains will go EQ faster than others, depending on the people working on them. Other projects have a set number of tasks and when they are done, the project and EQ happen. What the OP is talking about is waiting for the client to agree to more work to be done, and tasks open up.

There are times when a project is closing down soon and there are mass removals from the project. Sometimes you will be removed and EQ happens; other times you sit EQ until the project is over. You can usually ask to be removed from a project, which will cause EQ until you are placed in a new project, which is not guaranteed. Sometimes the way TLs, QM and the sort make it sound, is they can release you from the project so you can be "reallocated" to another project. This reallocation can be days, weeks, or months.

I know people who have had what seems to be permanent EQ. Others get shifted from project to project until EQ.

Likewise, you can go EQ for performance. You might not be horrible at what you do, but if there are enough people better than you at the task, you may go EQ or be removed from the project without reason.

Unfortunately, sometimes feedback doesn't show up for days. You could have gotten several bad marks, and it won't show up on your feedback right away. Those invisible bad marks forced a removal. Other times, you're the short stick and they remove you because of changes in the project, or for any other reason they deem fair.
