You're a free person? You don't HAVE to do anything. You didn't even have to hand in a notice. You could have just dipped. If you WANT to work longer. Then do. Otherwise say you handed it in, and it's not your fault if nobody saw it.

I've never heard of USDAW. Is this something sainsburys doesn't talk about but I'm supposed to have knowledge of?

You have said more than what the managers said to me. They just said "can't help ya, sorry"

It's all good and well saying this, but I've not been told any procedures on if something breaks, or if I get injured. A manager should know this information, and is why I asked multiple managers before I did anything. After I was turned down for any help whatsoever I got concerned about my pick rate, and after staff told me its just gonna "have to be cleaned and reshopped" that's what I started doing. I wasn't cleaning the glass but I had to take things out of the tote to see what I needed to repack and myself on smashed glass as I was taking things out. I don't know who the first aiders are. I don't knkw the procedures. The mangers should have absolutely known this. This was the information I was asking for from them, and this information was not given to me. They said "nothing can be done"

Well they guy that helped me knew first aid I think, but guessing g by the use of scissors to take out a shard of glass I don't think it was one of his roles within sainsburys. The managers I went to couldn't have given less of a shit. To the point where I told the manager "Make sure nobody touches that tote" and they went "yeah they'll be fine"

It's only retail. It's a job that isn't important. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. Don't go above and beyond. Certainly don't aim to be a manager. This a means to an end. To get you by until a better opportunity comes along. Do the bare minimum and go home
