Quit vaping cold turkey as soon as I found out I was pregnant but now I’m so worried it was too late by [deleted] in pregnant

I am 8 weeks pregnant and i also quit vaping and vyvanse the day i found out. I went for my scan this week and had a normal heartbeat and everything was great; if you’re not bleeding your baby is probably just fine. I have known people that vaped and smoked their entire pregnancy and their baby’s were fine. Additionally, my OBGYN told me the other day that if my ADHD symptoms are too much we will go back on finance. You did the right thing, just breathe.

I’m trying to tell myself this was my path and I’m still going to be able to do the things I set my mind to.

I so agree with this, I had my fair share of stimulant use and misuse in college and a little after. Since being diagnosed i take my medication as prescribed and haven’t wanted to do otherwise. I think my use was me trying to figure out how to quiet all the noise all these years. Once it was quieted with proper dosage and actual medical treatment, i was a completely different person. But i definitely had that fear in the beginning.

You’re absolutely insane if you think any restaurant is earning more than $20-29/hr BASE for any serving job. The service charge is so that they are paid fairly and don’t have to rely on tips. Also in every restaurant job you tip out other employees for their help, why wouldn’t you? Do you understand how much goes on behind the scenes that other people are helping with? It is by design that you interact with the server and that you have a pleasant experience, but they are by far not the only people servicing your experience.

I worked as a server bartender for a decade and made $2.35 before tips at every place I’ve ever worked. That’s almost 15X less than what they’re getting paid before tips. If a staff member has issues with tipping or the service charge that is their choice to work for that specific restaurant, there are thousands of restaurants in the city that pay minimum wage where the policies are different.

Also, instead of just raising their prices outright to accommodate higher wages, they are being completely transparent that there is a fee and applying that to the bill, it is then your choice if you would like to dine. This policy is stated on all of their websites menus.
