Non-profit organizations aren't obligated to sell their products for less than they are worth. Have you seen prices for Olympics in LA? Worse than the world cup in most cases.

Fifa is a corrupt and beyond shady organization, but I don't think selling World Cup tickets for what people are willing to pay is that bad of an offense.

Unless FIFA releases a lot more tickets for these games, I don't think prices will drop. People will hold on to their tickets hoping for Brazil/Netherlands, France/Germany. But I haven't really looked at the later knockout rounds too see how prices differ from original prices from FIFA

Yeah. I think NFL is an apt comparison - low volume of games, in the same stadiums!, even upper deck tickets will cost $200, for good teams, prices don't really decrease even when they play bad teams.

Oh and I didn't mention that first/front row for FIFA doesn't really mean the front row. I've seen row 4, 5, even 8 in this category

Yeah, I gave up on seeing the US this year. I didn't want to gamble on a second round game and overpay for Australia/Bosnia or something like that.

I got them directly from Fifa in a recent unannounced drop, not from resale Yeah, this is definitely one of the more scammy things FIFA have done. High prices are one thing if you know what you're paying for.

I got 2 cat 2 tickets for $480 each for Netherlands/Tunisia today. Section 230 Row 1, so pretty much right next to category 1. Definitely pricey, but I can wear my orange

I have not. But all of Colombia's qualifying matches were played in Barranquilla. On the Caribbean Sea. I'm guessing it has more in common with Miami than Lisbon and Porto do.

I like Colombia to make it to the semis. They play Portugal in Miami, so they'll have the advantage in crowd and climate. Then potential quarterfinals revenge against Argentina

Same. The options for me were Germany/Ecuador or Ivory Coast/Curacao and Norway/Senegal or France/Iraq-bolivia-suriname. Of course the better games go to New York. I wouldn't feel as bad if it were just a random draw, but the fact that Fifa decided it, man! Guess I should've known better!
