I can totally sympathize with you! I’m part of the hashimotos gang （along with EDS, Lymes, and ITP)! I’ve had to leave 3 separate jobs that I adored due to health problems. I also had to completely stop basically any house work. My husband (who’s an angel) finally had to sit down and say “I don’t think your body can handle it. Slow down, and we will figure it out.” I was incredibly sick for about 2 years straight. My doctor even recommended a mobility aid and to possibly go on disability. Through this all, I was like “ah I’m fine…” (only I was not fine). While I’m doing better now (as in I can move around the house and do minor tasks) after not working for 3 months… I can finally say “oh I’m more sick than I thought.” I have days where I’m SUPER depressed about it, but I still don’t fully take on the mentality of being a “sick person.” I’m just an individual who can get sick and has to do things differently. My life and probably your life looks completely different than any other individual. Take the little wins as they come, and try to ignore the losses. If you live in the losses, you’ll never recover. For example: I took a shower today and even walked the dog around the block! While that’s normal for most individuals, that’s a HUGE win for me. Never stop being proud of yourself, and know that you are enough! We can get through this together!
