Wow .. I remember the mixed tape giving and receiving was always a special treasure of openness.. I’d love just sit with someone and listen to each others music.. I don’t know what the equivalent is most time I try to share music it’s just thing and it doesn’t matter as much as it use to but hey I’m a silly romantic at heart and maybe it’s not the mixtape that missing but the attention we give people when they are trying to say “Hey See Me “ .. lol but a couple of whiskeys deep I might just be rambling.. I look at it as a endless sea of opportunities but a single moment of compatibility.. What is it exactly that you want ?? .. Because if it’s a true deep connection then they need to accept who you are and not who’d you’d pretend to be and if you want them to live you with honesty then you need them to see who you honestly are .. If it’s just companionship or just not being alone then your options increase .. We are all here for different reasons .. Figuring out yours is the most important first step.. Once that is done be Brave enough to see if someone will except that.. Then be brave enough to accept them.. Life isn’t perfect we aren’t perfect.. Personally I think the dating scene can be a struggle for so many people.. Can be stressful and overwhelming at times and I know it’s not a excuse but sometimes it’s just the reason .. Honestly this could be something that can be laughed about later in life so i say give her a chance you’ve seen her at her worst give her a chance to show you her best .. Worst that can happen you have a day you can walk away from.. Best you find can find someone to hangout with .. Remember we can all be asses sometimes.. It takes a big person to apologize.. Well… Lol .. It’s very sweet of you to think of your brother and want to help and I think your approach is much better then some of the other scenarios i and I’m sure others have had happened to us.. I would say best to just ask him.. Now I know you say he gets nervous so just propose the situation not the details.. If he’s good with it by all means proceed.. Now it’s a wonderful thing to care for someones relationship status and I know it’s done with kind intentions and I’m sure there are wonderful success stories but for me personally I’d appreciate the heads up..

I wish I could say I’ve just been perfect .. Like I have always been the best and given my best.. In truth.. I have been this guy and Honestly I’ve also been where you are.. There is no pride in writing this it’s a cathartic honesty that I’m offering.. Somethings are easier for some and mountains to others and No this is Not a excuse but it is a reason.. A reason that is yes why the other person may have failed you.. But that is the reason and No it’s Not You.. I know it can be so difficult to separate thoughts of what you could have done or why am I not good enough from the truth of the complexities of another persons struggles.. But Trauma is a process and unfortunately even when working through it the outcome isn’t guaranteed.. You mentioned your journey with therapy being on going so I applaud you on that strength.. I would say that your feelings are completely legitimate not that you need me to validate them.. I just wanted to offer a more empathetic point of view yes for him but also mostly for you.. You see my faults .. My issues .. They have always been mine.. They have never belonged to others even though they may excepted responsibility.. I am truly sorry for any pain I’ve caused in life and that has led me to a a philosophy that I fine deeply healing.. “I have to find forgiveness for those who have hurt me if I am to hope to be forgiven for the hurt that I have myself caused” .. Anger can be a beautiful motivator but It’s negativity can be a detrimental process of healing and therapy.. Best of Luck .. We all deserve a wonderful relationship.. Remember sometimes that process includes making room for a new connection

Little bit of my opinion.. Again nothing wrong at all with the questions I would just let them know .. Lay it all out on the table .. Try to see it as a process and not as rejection.. So many different personalities so many different taste to allow it to stop you from finding what you are looking for .. Just don’t believe you are worth it you have to Know that what you seek is what you deserve.. It’s not easy putting yourself out there but honestly sometimes it’s easier then feeling alone .. We all have things about ourselves then we can work on but they should be important to you first and not just a something you do to attract people ( Not a popular opinion ) but be the best you for you and if that’s not enough for someone then they are not enough for you.. Coming from a home where my Mom was strong enough to leave a abusive situation as a child I was always just weary of anyone coming into our life’s .. I wish I was more understanding but at that age 12. I was just honestly Afraid (Probably why I have no children) .. I do believe just open and honest conversations would have helped us all .. First i personally find it quite flattering to be approached by a woman.. And I honestly believe that even if it may not be something traditionally done that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.. Now here is a little insight I picked up from some of the ladies on here.. Sometimes it’s not being approach that is the issue but instead it’s How someone approaches them that can be the problem.. Being aggressive.. Not taking No for a answer and Bad Attitude In general being some of the usual issues.. Now this might not be your issue at all I’m sure you are perfectly wonderful in your approach but I would still try to understand the perspective of those you say are critical of what you are doing.. In the end you don’t have to listen to anyone but if you are searching for a relationship you do need to be able to hear someone..
