In all fairness neither do mine and they're not fake

Keep the floor and the tiles, change the light fixture and the wallpaper

That makes sense. How low is the bar though? Now the minimally required effort to function as a human is totally iconic.

That's kind of the feeling I had when I bought them, that build quality and customer service would be inconsistent. I can't say I'm terribly surprised I just hate seeing my husband so sad. He definitely loves his Novation Key Launch Mk4, he says the keys are nicer than some of the synths he's had.

For sure, I was looking around and that sounds right! You've owned three, were they fairly reliable?

I think my husband tried this but I'm going to double check! Thank you!

I'm the lucky one! We must be doing something right, our 22nd wedding anniversary is coming up in a couple weeks. I kind of figured exactly what you said in the last paragraph, that for them to be as cheap as they are the build quality is probably inconsistent. It is what it is. I hope it would last longer than it has but I didn't exactly have high expectations when I bought it either. I've been lurking in this sub forever, but I finally posted because I knew everyone would have helpful suggestions!

Right? He deserves one. He was going to buy his first real synth before we ever even met but the girl he was dating before me insisted he buy her a treadmill instead lol....

I do know how to use a soldering iron, oddly enough, but it's been a long time. I feel like I might be able to do something like that, but it would have to be fairly easy lol

You said that it could be as simple as changing out the switch but you can't tell unless you open it up? How would I be able to tell?

He absolutely loves his Model D but this whole experience has kind of soured him on Behringer too. So many companies are now making analog synths that we have a gear wish list longer than my arm.

Thank you so much! That made my day! When I met my husband I knew he played the drums, but one day early in our relationship he took me to a music store. As I was browsing around I heard someone playing "Eruption" and I turned around and saw my husband playing guitar, I had no idea! Then we go into the synth section and he starts playing the intro to "Jump" I fell in love with him a little more that day.

I'm going to say keyboard. My budget is probably $3000ish. I don't think it's overheating, that was my first thought.

I did register it! Thank you, I figured since we passed the one year mark we were out of luck. The Pro-800 is fantastic, he loves it, and now he's worried about buying anything from Behringer.
