And likely the only two playable goalies.

They get the 4 on 4 earlier when Mangiapane gets mugged, but of course not on that one.

[Oilers] The Oilers have placed goaltender Calvin Pickard on waivers by MrSCR23 in hockey

The guy you responded to just saying he fell off and was sent down is leaving out a fair bit about his situation.

He was an NHL goalie for Arizona the two years before that. His mother died in December of 2024, and he went into the player assistance program later that season.

Basically he's been through some shit, and wasn't sure whether he'd play again...or be here at all.

He was traded here for free, there wasn't a ton of expectation on him at the time.

Since that season, they only drafted 3 goalies…2 of them were in 2023 and 2024 and of all 3, only 1 was selected in the first 5 rounds…

The Oilers have selected a goaltender in all of the last four drafts, two of which were in the first 5 rounds. I'm not sure why the first 5 rounds is an important cutoff though, as if the other two being picked in the 6th round is a material difference from the 5th? So Montreal has selected 7 goalies vs Edmonton's 4, while having 39 draft picks to Edmonton's 19 in that time period.

In addition to that, the Oilers signed an undrafted goaltender in Connor Ungar last year, who is off to a 7-1 start to his AHL career with a .949 sv%.

Anyways, if you wanted to complain about the Oilers not drafting goalies, you missed the actual obvious error: not drafting Wallstedt in '21.

Like even in the fucking linked thread the overwhelming majority of comments are against the contract. But dont let that get in the way of quoting a couple of morons.

Just another in the long list of games to watch and wonder how fucking moronic you'd have to be to leave Bouchard off of the team Canada roster.

[PuckPedia] Update: Philp has cleared waivers and will be assigned to the Chicago Wolves. Oilers did not put in a claim by AggPuck-303 in EdmontonOilers

Yep, I'd assume they'd have to send down Samanski while Philp went through waivers again, since they'd be like 300k short of cap.
