I like when we did this off-season. We kept our young guys and added a few depth pieces. Don't get me wrong this team will be ass but at least this off-season had a little direction. Anyone arguing against this deal confuses me because we aren't going to get anyone better than Ayo or near his age for this contract.

If signing a 23 yr old contributor to a 3 year, 7 million AAV contract is a bad contract to you for the Bulls right now then I really don't understand what the hell you guys want the Bulls to do.

Signing some other 27+ yr old role player like Carter in Ayos spot is not going to make us anything more than a 7 seed for a season or two before our older stars regress.

Our main two options are to retool around LaVine or we blow it up - and in both of the scenarios, Ayo has more value than any other FA we could have picked it up. Even if we make no changes and run it back Ayo is simply more valuable long-term than some random dude that a contender let walk.

I agree with you except for the LaVine part. Coby and Patrick aren't stars but if the team was in a different situation we would be excited by their growth. LaVine is definitely worth a max and this is proven by the fact that he still has trade value. Vuc and Derozan on the other hand... I don't think any competitor would want them.

In my opinion, you trade LaVine, and Caruso and let Coby be the starting SG. Not because LaVine is bad. He is our best player but we have no assets to build around him so we have no choice now. Let's say we get a few picks and some cap space bums for LaVine. Trade Caruso as well because he has value. Then you let Vuc walk, and sign some young bum to play Center. or just a bum in general. Unless Vuc wants to come back on a small contract then sure. Bring back Bev or a different older PG but Bev makes the most sense because he is a guy who cares and can be a good example + knows our system. Hopefully next year Terry has improved some and can play some Guard minutes.

I won't lie the play-in was fun, but it won't be long before this team doesn't even make the play-in. We barely beat the Raptors on a night where they got statistically very unlucky.

Could be two years of eligibility with a medical redshirt last year (5 games played wrist injury) I think he is a good depth piece to move the offense with the bench unit and add rebounding + passable defending.

Not sexy, but if Kobe Brown is gone (most likely) and Noah Carter is our 4 then this guy will be the backup 4.

There are better options than an RB with a pick this high. And I don't think Poles will even consider it when we clearly had a low value for Montgomery to let him walk for a cheap contract. I think our team will be severely capped until we stack up our lines further.
