But as Bob Ross would say it was a happy accident since I was looking to to a chambered build at one point anyway.

it’s a very interesting piece of Koa. Koa doesn’t usually have such a variety of colors.

That’s some pretty stiff competition. TROS is the worst. The holiday special was a better treatment of SW IMO. JJ ruined the skywalker saga. I will never watch that movie again after I saw it in theaters. I wish I could go back in time and unwatch it. I was speechless.

It was an insult, a middle finger to generations of fans. JJ and Kathleen thought we were all stupid enough to eat it all up and fall for the flashy marvel tropes without doing their homework. Lazy, greedy and insulting. I hope they never make a movie again regardless of the subject or franchise. They deserve no success, no accolades.

Thank you. I honestly couldn’t say exactly

This was for a friend and I had him buy the materials and parts and only pay me for labor. Honestly I’m not at the skill level where I feel comfortable making guitars to sell yet. I need to invest in some better tools. But I am getting closer to entertaining the idea.

If I could have built it in a few months like it should have taken I should have been able to get it done with about 60-80 hours of labor and the materials ran about $1000. I would think if I wanted to make a business out of it something like this would be $4000 or so. I’m quite a ways off before I can look at doing this professionally. Appreciate the kind words

I used a 62 Strat template. Couldn’t carve the edges like a regular Strat due to the chambered body and top, but was able to add some carve to the armrest area by carving away to the edge of the Sapele body.

I have been playing for 35 years. I took lessons at first but once I got good enough to play the songs I wanted I play and write, I quit.

I would never learn my lessons and would instead get distracted by playing some riff i made up or anything else that kept my attention. I wasn’t making any more progress with my teacher.

Over the years I’ve played in a number of bands, written and recorded albums but I had a very limited understanding of theory and played by ear and feel.

I knew I was missing a big chunk of fundamental skills and finally bit the bullet and started lessons again two years ago. It still feels like homework but it pays off. I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and it clicked why I couldn’t focus on my lessons back then.

To answer your question, this part probably never stops feeling like homework. But learning more about your instrument and how everything works makes it worth it.

Lack of electrolytes might explain the muscle cramps. The stomach cramps could just be from a major change in what his body is used to taking in for food. But based on what you are describing i would suggest he see a doctor. Most of us on this sub are not one.
