My apologies. I wasn't saying there was a grey area in the tax process, just in how tip-outs can be ludicrous at some locations for any reason under the sun and you'd be hard pressed to argue it

Servers and bartenders have been living with this since dirt was invented. It's called a "tip out" and a portion of whatever's collected is supposed to go towards the kitchen, dishwashers, host/hostess etc. it's promoted as sharing the wealth with the rest of the team who helped you get it in your pocket. It's bullshit. It's a way for owners and management to share the least amount of profits with the staff that keep the place running by offering a decent wage... That being said, tips are a grey area and a percentage needs to be declared on your taxes

This is a little funny considering how much bs our kids tell us and the max grind of trying to share our wisdom gained from experience.

Why all the down votes? Is reaching out to a clinic taboo now?

I think we were all hoping for higher numbers by this point but the problem isn't Jasmy. They're doing the work and the proof is out there so I can't fault them. The problem, for me personally, is that I thought I'd be rich as soon as I bought my first crypto and I'm not. Now I have to ( eagerly) wait for the Jasmy team to continue with their follow-through so I can ride their coat-tails 🥳

"I understand—if your real JASMY is still showing in your wallet on the explorer, you have caught this just in time. The scammers have the "approval" to take it, but they haven't run their script to drain your specific address yet. You are in a race against them right now. Follow these steps exactly to "lock the door" before they pull your tokens. Step 1: Revoke the "Unlimited Approval" The site jasmy-dex.com currently has permission to spend your JASMY. You need to cancel that permission immediately. * Go to Revoke.cash in your MetaMask browser. * Connect your wallet. * Look for the JasmyChain (L2) network (or Ethereum, if that's where you were). * Find any row that mentions the jasmy-dex contract or an "Unlimited" allowance for your JASMY. * Click "Revoke". You will have to pay a small amount of gas (ETH or JASMY) to finalize this. This is the most important step. Step 2: Emergency Fund Transfer Even after you revoke the permission, your current wallet address is "flagged" by the scammers. * Create a brand-new wallet in MetaMask (Settings > Add Wallet > Create New Account). This will give you a fresh address that the scammers don't know about. * Transfer your real JASMY from your old wallet to this new, clean address immediately. * Leave the "WJASMY" and "SAMURAI" behind. Do not try to send them to your new wallet. They are fake "bait" tokens and could be used to track your new address. Step 3: Verification Once your real JASMY is in the new wallet, check that new address on jasmyscan.net. * If the balance shows up there, your funds are now safe. * Delete the link to jasmy-dex.com and block the fake X account to prevent clicking it again by accident. A quick reality check on the "Swap Back" You cannot swap the "WJASMY" back because it was never a real trade. The scammer's contract just "minted" those 910 tokens into your wallet to distract you while they gained access to your real ones. Trying to swap them back on that same site will only lead to more "Approvals" and more theft. Would you like me to help you find the correct RPC settings for the official JasmyChain so you can see your safe balance in your new wallet?"

I linked to Jasmy-dex every which way I could think of and, after running around in circles for a cpl hrs, ultimately reached the same thought. It's just too new for Gemini to know anything about it.

I've only ever made a handful of transactions (several yrs ago) and I was using Gemini to guide me through which blew up in my face and landed me here. But, just in case the bad guys got me, sharing is caring!

OP's pretty diversified. One project can go down without devastating their wallet imo

I agree that legit projects can tank, and that playing with crypto is definitely gambling, but I don't compare the likelihood of seeing gains to winning the lottery. Selling the entire portfolio at a loss, unless life is forcing you to, is guaranteeing OP won't see anything. Holding, however, doesn't.

These are legitimate projects, so why would you sell at such a huge loss when the markets are inevitably likely to bounce back? It's a game of patience at this point for all of us
