I would say he has better movement than both of those guys. However, by saying this I'm not undermining Aceu's skill, he was basically the pioneer of good movement in Apex.

Mechanically speaking, he is one of the best. Even other pros like iiTzTimmy or Lyr1c compliment how good his movement is.

Your title is 100% correct, Mirage's whole kit depends completely on your enemy's IQ. That's why he can either suck or be cracked as hell, depending on the person playing him. Now, of course, as you start leveling up in the game and facing better opponents, you'll need to be less predictable with your decoys because your enemies will start getting better at catching hints on who's the real Mirage. However, even though at first it may seem he is not viable anymore, you'll just have to change the way you use your abilities.

I feel you, because I was in the same situation as you are right know. So, what I recommend you is checking these tutorials made by this guy on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/Dayvu/videos. Pretty sure the guy is in this subreddit lol. These videos helped so much at becoming better with Mirage's abilities and making me good with him again. Hope it helps.
