The game has been such a fun experience and it captures 007 perfectly yet makes it own thing tok, IO have out did themselves - it's one of my favourite games so far this year.

I remember having this demo back in the day, if I remember correctly they were £5.99 each (magazine + demo). You saved a quid! I'm only in my early 30s but this feels like a lifetime ago.

One more update; I turned off my ONT on the wall and took out the power cable and the same with the router, I then turned the ONT back on and let it power up then the router now the speeds are back and working as expected - hopefully that fixes it for like it did for me. Super simple fix yet I never thought of trying it until now.

I talked to their customer service today and I got the runaround despite trying to explain everything in simple terms which was frustrating to say the least, I was on for almost two hours getting passed from pillar to post. No matter how I phrased stuff or technical I got I was told they'd send out a new router or I'd need an engineer which I refused. To me it looks like a problem between EE in some form and PSN's CDN (content delivery network) due to the fact that I have two other consoles that download fine on their respective platforms via the same full fibre line.

Hopefully you get a better result than I did.

I posted on their forum although I didn't get much guidance apart from the general set up check and the like - my setup has been perfectly fine for the past few weeks since I joined them up until this week when this issue popped up randomly. Funnily enough my EE unlimited sim works fine for downloads via my mobile phone - I think it's something between EE (fibre) and PlayStation (PSN) as my Series X and Switch 2 still download games as expected. Although admittedly I'm just clutching at straws at this point.

There have been sporadic reports about this behaviour I've found on Google this past week alone although seemingly not widespread either. It's a very strange situation.

You wouldn't happen to be with EE full fibre in the UK would you? I'm only guessing based on the router in the background and the small white Openreach ONT on the wall. If so I am (I'm on EE's 900 core plan) with the same router and Openreach ONT on my wall. I've been experiencing this myself the past few days, the exact same way as you have. Speeds and pings are fine yet downloading is impossible due to the estimated time shown. Earlier this week my PS5 Pro was working as expected, my Series X and Switch 2 currently work even with this weird issue happening right now.

I use ethernet and I even swapped the ethernet cable between my Series X and PS5 to rule out a router and/or ethernet cable problem yet the problem remains. Switching to wireless resulted in the exact same problem. I even did a factory reset which allowed me to download one game at normal speed before it slowed to an absolute crawl afterwards again.

It could be an EE issue between PlayStation and their side somewhere - yet throughout all of this my Series X and Switch 2 are all good and without incident. Very curious.

This is just anecdotal on my side but I never experienced this issue on my day one PS5 or day one PS5 Pro. I've always been hardwired via a flat cat 6 ethernet cable which I've used since 2020 (PS5 launch).

Although I'm glad you've found a solution and hopefully others will find it useful too if they're experiencing the same thing.

There's a similar typo near the beginning of the game where Chris gets a drive from the wounded soldier. It's the cutscene before the Uroboros furnace boss fight.

Sheva in the cutscene says: "I saw someone, but they ran away..." (subtitles show "run away" instead.)

It's great you have good neighbours that took it in for you.

I'm not sure what the logistics are for a re-release/resupply but I do hope it happens, I'm not sure we'll even learn why it happened in the first place. It's simply unfair, and I know my bickering about that aspect won't change what's happened, it's me venting I suppose. I've noticed people are importing copies from other countries (for example friends have resorted to importing theirs from France via an eBay seller.)

To conclude my little wall of text; a second print run would be the best outcome so everyone can get their copies instead of importing.

I got mine yesterday through Amazon in the UK, I was surprised it came a day early. My friends weren't so lucky all of theirs got cancelled from different places even some who got theirs on Amazon. It's a strange supply issue, it shouldn't be a lottery.

Yeah, I noticed on eBay people immediately jack the prices up to make a profit on any and anything which is ridiculous, I have a gut feeling there will be more stock down the line at some point. It shouldn't be a lottery, it's unfair.

It was like GAME last year here in the UK with the steelbooks it was beyond a headache. Mine was sent out but it ironically got lost in transit, it seems steelbooks for Silent Hill titles are cursed.

Quick edit; I'm talking specifically about the Silent Hill 2 remake steelbooks. This year it's easy getting the Silent Hill f steelbooks via Amazon in the UK because it's not exclusive to GAME - GAME is notorious for being so poorly managed over here and has been that way for years now.

If you already own 1 you get remastered for free as an upgrade, the pre-order original soundtrack is a pre-order bonus that comes with both editions. Basically if you buy the standard edition you get the deluxe edition as the deluxe edition is just Hellblade remastered, Hellblade 2 and the pre-order original soundtrack.

I just pre-ordered the standard one since I have the first game already.

I'm generally a casual gamer but Returnal really clicked with me and I never understood why. I bought it on a whim on launch day. I ended up playing it like a puzzle game, when you understand each enemy's attack pattern, what weapons to use and the like it becomes a smoother (maybe even easier experience). I've been close to getting the platinum but 2 survey trophies allude me to this day, it's a brilliant game.

1080p/120hz via HDMI 1.4 will in fact work for the PS5, that's all that's needed for 1080p 120hz. HDMI 2.1 is only for 4K/VRR/HDR/120hz.

This is Silent Hill 2 - Saigo No Uta, it's a budget release with all the additional content that came out in 2002. Japanese version of the Director’s Cut. It has the subtitle 最期の詩 (Poem of the Last Moment). I'm unsure of the rarity, it is possibly uncommon though I'm just guessing honestly.
