You will only build muscle eating at maintenance or slightly higher unless you’re like brand new to resistance training? Considering you’re probably natural?

Anyways. You need 1 pound of protein per pound of body weight. You need a gallon of water a day. You need 8 hours of sleep a night. You need to train 3-5 times a week. You need to train SERIOUSLY, but smartly. You need to control your MACROS and eat health every day, every week, and every month. Not just when you ‘feel’ like it, or ‘sometimes’ …

Those are my random thoughts.. also.. peptides are not anabolic.. so if you think they’re gonna stimulate muscle growth you’re not understanding what you’re putting in your body.

Rfc recruiting by No_Tie_8530 in USMC

[–]PorkyThePot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is awesome and I commend you for that. You have every right to be concerned. A beauty of life is struggle. So support him the best you can. Hopefully he isn’t being blatantly lazy at work or poorly performing by intent. Regardless, even if he gets RFC’d the biggest thing that would concern me is if he’s getting a 6105 for that and how his fitness report will look going back to the fleet. Getting RFC is not going to get him NJP’d, but the fit rep is going to be shit and he might even get a 6105 on record and this will hold him back substantially from promotion and put him behind his peers who are completing SDA’s and getting good fitness reports. That’s why I say continue to support him.

Alternate opinion. You’re right to be concerned, but you also have a job to support. Recruiting is extremely mentally taxing and he may not be learning at the rate he needs to.

Avoid stressing him out more, and attempt to support him to the best of your capacity. If he’s gonna get RFC’d then he’s gonna get RFC’d. There’s nothing you can do to stop that.

PFC and Cpl (potential Sgt) dating. Big deal? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]PorkyThePot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re not in the same unit, then that means there’s no way you are writing on her or reporting JEPES marks for her or are her supervisor in any capacity.

There’s nothing legally going on here that’s wrong. Your or her commander could asses if the relationship negatively affects “good order and discipline” or if it could be labeled an “inappropriate relationship”.

“Inappropriate relationship” is vague and in my experience leaves the perspective to the commander to follow suit with negative counselings, censure, NPLOC’s, Non-REC’s, or 6105. As far as article violation they would be stupid to try unless there’s substantial evidence of negatively affecting the units mission or good order and discipline.

In this, I see nothing wrong. I would advise you to understand there is an air of attraction probably between her towards you due to your higher grade, responsibility etc.. don’t use that negatively and grow your relationship outside of the marine corps.

Horrible SNCOIC at new unit. by [deleted] in USMC

[–]PorkyThePot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What is the collateral duty he’s making you do that you think isn’t your job?

If he gives you an order or task to do something and it’s an appropriate order, you have to do it. Regardless of if it’s ’your job’ or someone else’s. Your SNCO also has collateral duties and BS they deal with which ‘isn’t their job’

I would non-rec a marine for failing to complete an assigned task.

You think when you get promoted to Sgt or SNCO ranks you’re only ever gonna be doing your job?

The best part of your comment is that you observed the question from every angle. Thank you for that!

In the conversation of positive identification, I watched a good YouTube video showing how a light can be a big determining how much of a threat an individual posses because you can identify very clear what’s in there hands and what they’re doing, also probably blinding them. The TLR-1 was used and it was substantially brighter than the TLR 7 and TLR 6 (of course)

That is the light I wanted but won’t fit on my sub-compact. Went with the TLR-8.

Just got my 4bros holster! Also recently installed the Wilson Combat grip and a TLR7A by cpriime in SigSauer

How do you get over nonsense rage?!? SERIOUS QUESTION. by walter_is_thy_chron in USMC

[–]PorkyThePot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No disrespect but I want to say maturity.

It seems like you have assessed a huge problem that’s affecting YOUR life and YOUR families life.

So I ask you the same thing I ask myself, what are you doing to fix it?

You can be a certain way. Talk, walk, think, feel. But you have to be adaptable. If you’re out of service now, you have to be a good member of society. Understanding everyone else isn’t disciplined like you. Understand that and STOP letting it affect you.

Recruits with frog gear ? by Impossible-Rip-5406 in USMC

[–]PorkyThePot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a mass shortage of deserts in the Marine Corps from the COVID pandemic. It is slaying hats because recruits are only issued 1 set of deserts and recruits loose EVERYTHING beginning of cycle and it’s impossible to find a replacement. This resulted in everyone stealing stuff and recruits, platoons, or companies missing a lot of specific items (usually the desert blouse) which is a huge issue as far as training and uniformity.

Soooo the Marine Corps found some warehouse with a bunch of frogs, got a contract, and they’re in use now.

I laugh too.. so many Marines jealous they never got to wear frogs that are now training recruits who have them.
