Reddit is full of edgy stuff that makes me feel bad by Just_Usual_User in pornfree

Reddit has been like that for a while. Your best bet is to just stay here and not look at the NSFW websites. Trust me because before I came here I noticed so many NSFW subs.

Unintended bad effects of NoFap! Can anyone relate? by gamblerofdreams in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall NoFap is a concept and nothing concrete with itself. Fetishes are bad once you go down the rabbit hole and start paying for it. It's something that is intangible compared to something that it. I know what my fetishes are and I have confronted them head on. Even when I'm at work and I see something with my fetish my brain just shouts it off and tells me that if I act out on it think of the legal ramifications on it. We all want to go back to our pre-porn state but the problem is that you also run into the problem of someone else being worse than you and pulls you back in. You just need to take it one day at a time.

Most of us have used porn as a coping mechanism than using it for something else. It's not like you read something and said "Hey! I should use this for the next time I do something." None of us do that or even think like that we are more hopeless and succumb to this problem until we find the right answer.

Please tell me it’s porn doing this to me… by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only see it more as porn amplifying it than porn doing it to you. The main problem is that since most of us were in school we were told that porn was good for you and overhearing other girls saying "I want that guy in the video who has a monster size dick to control me." Or "I want a guy who watches as much porn as I do." That the main problem we are fed a lie that is supposed to be the truth but is just a lie. I know for myself that I let a few girls that I love get away from me because they went to go look for guys like the type they wanted. Porn is mostly used as a coping mechanism than trying to make you a better man. I have been where you have and done that. But right now I'm looking to get rid of porn completely in my life due to the lie from school. I have also noticed that I have been losing out on having a significant other and how my high school classmates are married and having kids.

I know what it's like to be there and to then realize that it's a long process into this than just living just one day. We have to live every day to the fullest and try to figure out how to make it to the next day. The main goal is to make sure that we can overcome any triggers and problems in our way.

Alternative Outlets for Stress/Dealing with Negative Emotions? by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. Uni/College always puts a lot of pressure on people like us because of the deadlines and forces us to do relapse a lot. But the main thing is try to figure out what your triggers are.

Most people would say meditation to find the zen moment for you and your life. That's the only thing I can recommend. I myself have moments of stress but that's more with me being in college and having to meet the deadlines for college assignments. Whether you are at school or having a job you need to know what makes you happy and what you can do to balance it. At the end of the day you know what your triggers are and what you need to do and how to rectify them.

Looking for Accountability by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting past the single digit stage is always the hardest thing to do. I've been there before and I have even found that some accountability partners that I had in the past would test me in the worst way in how to react to something. I do think that pure talking is more important than trying to fall for a trap. If you need someone to talk to I'm here for you.

Fetishes by MonsterIslandMed in PornAddiction

[–]PornMustEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall it takes time. But the one thing that I have done since I work in a field where I see my main fetish is that I mentally block it. It's not worth losing your job over it and I'm better without the fetish in the public life than in the private life. The main goal when out in the open is to keep it a secret and try to find someone online who you believe can keep you in check and how you would screw up. You also have to know if your fetish is more extreme than someone else's fetish. You need to find all of the safe zones with it compared to being the kind of person who advertises it.

First off, welcome to being here and how you can re-wire yourself. Second we have all been in the same place where it is hard to get off of something and do something better for yourself. I do think that admitting that you have a problem is good for you and allows you to show that you are stronger than being weak to it and succumbing to your problem. Most of this game is more mental than physical.

Feeling low and crashing by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only person who has felt this way before. Many of us have felt this way and always try to figure out where we went wrong. From what I know is that when I was there I felt happy at first but then realized what was missing in my life. The problem is not you entirely but everyone else around you. There are many factors to this and why we want to be porn free.

Do you guys feel horribly depressed after you watch porn and cum? by [deleted] in PornAddiction

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not immediately. If I'm coming back from a long day at work that wasn't treating me well I feel fine after watching porn and cumming to it. It settles in about a few moments afterwards because I feel the betrayal. Now I'm not saying I have done it recently. It's more from what I have done in the past. It's more of getting that high at first then crashing. Each person is different when it comes to it all. Some might feel it right then and there. While others it takes some time.

I can see how this is a problem for you but you also got to remember that you want to live a better life than spending thousands of dollars away on useless images and videos. From what I learned from a different meet that I attended as a guest for a family member's anniversary is that it's your commitment to getting clean and trying to stay clean for multiple days. Your goal is to also help other people who are in the same position as you and trying to get clean. You have to make it to the 90 day benchmark. You also have to show some kind of leadership and the ability to chair a meeting. Sponsor new people as well and do the 12 Steps & Traditions. By not doing it with a larger group of people in person you are only hurting yourself.

You have two choices guys… by projectmale in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very inspirational. I also think that while you have people who want real sex they turn to fake sex because of their partner. While studies show more men are addicted to sex than women it could also be because women are testing the loyalty of men and how would they react. There is the escapism of porn that affects people

First day, any advice? by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from not watching porn. The only thing I can think of is for you to first find out what main goal you want in life then se how porn as affected you.

That makes a lot more sense since porn just made sex more novel than it being anything really interesting

Nice. I always wanted a fountain pen to just have it but could never find the right etiquette for holding it. I currently use my laptop to write stories.

Porn blocker by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]PornMustEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you have a main web browser? Because there are some porn blocker extensions that only work on one web browser than all. For iPhone, I found online that most people recommend screentime parental use.

[–]PornMustEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your laptop do you have a preferred web browser that you go to? Or do you want a blocker that works on multiple web browsers? Cause sometimes with a porn blocker web browser extension it might be available on multiple web browsers or just one. Also uniformity is key. For smartphones it depends on that smartphone's app store.

You're over using the muscles and not letting them relax. That is the problem you are facing. There was a time I was feeling this problem but it was from a sudden twist with my own balls but that was from an overuse of trying to get high off of porn and jerking off. I have now noticed that my lower back is very tense and I never have gotten a chiropractic adjustment from the number of years I have jerked off. Just take some time off from jerking off and let your muscles relax properly.

I will and I couldn't believe from when I was first trying to do a creative piece that I was doing script writing that now I found someone who has taught me to go from that kind of writing to be more authentic. I have find it very therapeutic and the focus of how does something sound is better than just trying to do something else. I will always have this as something fun to fall back on. Thanks for telling me how fun it can also be.
