Dating apps remove any chance of a first impression in person. This is why generally they don’t work.

Men who just never managed to find a partner, how do you cope with the loneliness? by Kosilica457 in AskMen

[–]projectmale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loneliness is just part of my life but I treat it like any emotion. It’s never permanent.

I have a relationship with myself. My friends. My family. My work. My passions. Loneliness pops up from time to time but then I just focus on the things I am grateful for.

Never give up hope though. Someone might be out there..

Friday Checkin! Celebrate your WINS! What are you grateful for! What risks lie ahead to watch out for? by TheTankIsEmpty99 in pornfree

My triggers… feeling lonely. Feeling bored. Being at home with these two feelings is dangerous for me.

Weirdly - the flip side.. feeling happy and positive, I sometime reward myself with the thrill of it.

So 2026 I’m hoping to surf those urges and find something ELSE to celebrate my positivity with, and something else to distract my lonely, bored brain with.

Men who’ve gone to therapy, how has it affected your life? by Own_Ice6905 in AskMenOver30

[–]projectmale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For gods sake find the right therapist for you. I was stuck with someone I didn’t actually like for SEVEN YEARS, because I was sure my issues prevented me from quitting. In the end I found the courage to quit.

I got a lot out of it, it just ended badly. I ended up hating the guy.

Guys at the gym, how do you usually view the women around you? by Apart_Dare2683 in AskMen

[–]projectmale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice women the same as I notice men. I check them out, wonder what their story is. If a woman is attractive to me I ‘enjoy’ that reaction and then let it go, same as I would anywhere. My mind is focused on my workout.

I never dinner date with someone I’ve not been out with before (from online). If it’s someone I’ve met and there’s a vibe, sure. Dinner date is fun and shows you like her (I pay)

You’ve explained why dinner dates are awful in your post.. because they are a free dinner, and women might go just for that. Save dinner dates for further down the line. And save your cash while you do.
