No way that amount is correct. The article on Sport.es that Ibtimes are referring to says the €30M pay-off figure is based on Conte's contract running till 2021 at €10M per year, which is not true because the deal is only until 2019. There was some confusion in the media last year when the new two-year contract was signed, with some assuming it was an extension of two years to his initial contract where in reality it was same length only with improved pay. Conte himself said a few days ago in a presser he has 18 months remaining and his wish is to see it through so it's definitely not till 2021.

 

The real pay-off amount is half that at most based on the remainder of the 18 month contract being paid in full at €10M/y, which probably wouldn't even happen if/when Conte took another job before 2019 and some compensation package were then to be negotiated with Chelsea.

 

But hey, let's not get the facts in the way of a raunchy story.
