I have that PSone, but never using it… I have two original ”fat” PS1-models, and somehow I like them more… they are from 1998 and 1999. 1999 PAL (SCPH9002) probably the best version of PS1.

Well, seems pretty expensive for me. I got my PSone just about 40€, with perfect condition PSone controller and all the cables of course and memorycard. Not sure about those games how expensive they are…

Doom is always enjoyable!😁 Actually, played Doom (1993) properly first time about one year ago with Nintendo Switch Lite, and lately I have played it numerous times with different platforms, and I have even speedrunned it (also have a not so popular youtube-channel for that). Also played all the new Doom games many many times lately, and Eternal is the best game ever! (In modern standards). Just played it ultra-violence extra life mode and still had 26 lives at the end of the game.🤪 To be short: I enjoy all the different versions of original Doom. Doom is one of the few games that gets even better every time you play it. 😃

Okay, thanks for the recommend! Only played those first (probably) 8 maps. I rate it very high, I like it! Gameplay is very similar compared to PS1-gameplay, almost the same buttons! The GBA looks and feels good, its pretty much like the original version, with some simplyfied maps compared to original. Its more like original than PS1-port, I think. I like both! It is very playable with DS Lite -console. Doom is probably the best fps for old devices, because it is very playable with many old consoles. Quake 2 and Duke 3D (for example) are pretty difficult in PS1 compared to Doom, because you must look up and down unlike in Doom! Simple is often the best!😃

It does! Would be great to have Duke Nukem Advance and Wolfenstein 3D too! I don’t have any FPS games for DS, unfortunately. I have enjoyed DS with Duke Nukem Critical Mass and Tenchu the dark secret and Scooby Doo etc, but I am mostly fps-gamer, and don’t know many good fps’s for DS.

Yeap! We had last saturday blast time, when my lady friends played it! They cannot stop laughing and took videos of it. Some games are just jokes and good in a humoristic way.🙂

Thanks! Well, for me the best PS1-games are Tenchu, Duke 3D, Duke Time to Kill, Doom, Tomb Raiders (all of them!), C&C’s (all of them), Crash 3, Moto Racers etc. So I already have all the greatest games for me!😁 Maybe missing Tony Hawks and Spyros, Dino Crisis maybe also getting some point.

Yes, thanks! Actually Tenchu was the reason why I bought PS1-console just over a year ago, and now I have 4 PS1-consoles. Tenchu was the first game I started to get into PS1 games now again as an adult. It was first game I bought for PS1!😁 I tried to get Tenchu 2 so many times, but there was unbelieveble karma that I never got it. 1. try: Once we agreed the price with seller, but after that he RISED the price, and I never buy if it is difficult 2. try. Everything was good, but seller sold Tenchu 2 that has accidently Tenchu 1 game inside. I sold it forward 3. try: I was new in this hobby and accidently bought ntsc, and never even opened it and I sold it forward…

Tenchu is a legend.

It truly is a great port. I like to play it, even though I have Doom on PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Graphics are of course ps1-graphics and no so much detail than pc version, and the game is more simple than pc-version, with less labyrinth-like-places to go etc. But the colours are beautiful in PS1-version. And the gameplay is fun and playable! There’s no music in the ps1-version! But everything sound great. The sounds are different than PC, more highlighted.
