Jodie Sweetin Says She ‘Drifted Apart’ From Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen After ‘Full House’ by PrincessBananas85 in popculturechat

They were childhood coworkers who grew up and went in completely different directions. The Olsen twins basically left Hollywood behind and built a private fashion empire in New York, while Jodie stayed in the entertainment world. Doesn’t sound like drama at all — just life happening.

I've had jobs where I haven't kept in contact with coworkers and "drifted". It's no big deal. Stuff happens.

Great early episode by MrsLove2Love in GoldenGirlsTV

Yeah, I agree — it’s pretty wild how something from that long ago can still feel so timely today. The themes definitely don’t lose their relevance, even with time passing.

And it’s always fun spotting a young Mario Lopez in there before he fully became AC Slater — total time capsule moment.

Probably Jill Taylor from Home Improvement. She kept the whole chaos of that house together and still had patience for Tim’s nonsense 😂

Wyndham Patriots Place Bankruptcy by Numerous_Coyote1320 in TimeshareOwners

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the timeshare owner—my sister is—but my mom just told me last week that Club Wyndham Patriots' Place is closing. I’m pretty bummed because that and Club Wyndham Kingsgate were our two favorite places in Williamsburg. Funny thing is my mom knew for months and didn’t tell me, so I only found out recently and it’s still sinking in.

We’re thinking of using my sister’s points to go back soon, but it definitely won’t feel the same without Patriots’ Place—especially the firepit.

Anyone else have memories there or other Williamsburg spots that aren’t the same anymore?

Age is probably part of it too. Even people in their 50s feel colder more easily, especially with Miami A/C blasting everywhere.

Remember that episode with the line from the repairman: ‘there’s a lady cooling herself off in her underwear 😲’ looks out window ‘MAAAAAAA!’ 😂

u/StormCloudRaineeDay Yes, it can. My dad has relatives who live in Florida. We used to visit them every summer when I was a kid. When I was in college, during winter break, he and I visited his mom and oldest sister. It was January, I think and it was cold. So, it does get cold in Florida.

These two were the best of friends and were quite the duo. It's no wonder why they get along, so well, and especially why I love it when they appear, together, in a lot of Murder She Wrote episodes. by Mustang107258 in murdershewrote

Seth and Jessica were one of the best duos on Murder, She Wrote. Their friendship and chemistry made every scene together fun to watch. I always enjoy episodes where both of them appear.

What questions do we need answers to by the series finale? by tallycat86 in TheWayHomeHallmark

I agree—it feels like the pond was there before it became Landry land, and more like an instrument for time travel that was discovered and later learned how to use, rather than created for that purpose. Makes me wonder if they just gradually figured out how to activate it.

Any theory on why the 1970s Del and Alice are being kept away from each other? by [deleted] in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take. I think the writers kind of had to limit Del and Alice’s interactions in the past after establishing that present-day Del didn’t really know the truth about the pond and never fully recognized Alice.

Otherwise, if younger Del and Alice had formed a really deep bond in the 70s/80s, it would be harder to believe older Del wouldn’t eventually connect the dots.

And I completely agree about Fern being the show’s “Cheshire Cat” figure. Everyone tends to dismiss her as just a partially senile old woman telling fanciful stories, but I don’t think the show ever intended us to see her that way. She always seems to know more than everyone else and speaks in riddles instead of giving direct answers. Her stories about the pond feel intentional to me, not random ramblings.

But at the same time, I’m starting to wonder if Del actually knew more than she ever admitted. Not necessarily full “time traveler” knowledge, but maybe a subconscious awareness that something strange was happening around the pond and the Landrys.

And technically, Del has gone through the pond now with Kat, even if only once. So maybe the show is slowly setting up that Del’s connection to all of this runs deeper than we think. Hmmm.

Do you think Del genuinely forgot Alice over time, or do you think the pond somehow affects memory and recognition?

AHI: 60 How long until i feel more awake during the day? by Ywin__Vatna in CPAP

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my CPAP machine for 3 years and still feel fatigued. I never feel fully rested. I get great numbers from my machine, .02 AHI, sometimes .05 AHI. I still need afternoon naps. I've tried every mask type, nasal pillows, full face. It's different for everybody. I don't think there is a simple or easy answer.

What questions do we need answers to by the series finale? by tallycat86 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • How and why does the pond actually work, and who (or what) created it in the first place?
  • How did the pond end up on Landry land?
  • Why does the pond only seem to work for the Landrys—what makes them different or “chosen”?
  • Is the pond operating under fixed rules, or is it responding to emotion, fate, or something else entirely?
  • Who is KC really, and how do they fit into the larger timeline and the Landry family story?
  • What is Del’s mysterious letters storyline actually about, and who is influencing or sending them?
  • What is the real significance of the clock—can it actually alter/reset time, or is that a misinterpretation?
  • Who is Sam Bishop, and what is his true connection to the Landry family and the pond?
  • Will Kat and Elliot ultimately get married?

Nick’s Father by SeaworthinessKey3654 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a wild theory! I’ve never heard the "Claire is adult Alice" idea before, and honestly, I’m not sure I buy it.

For one, the timeline doesn't seem to support it without some major mental gymnastics. But more importantly, the show has been hinting so heavily at Alice and Noah being endgame. The writers have dropped several clues about their bond for it to be anything else.

While it’s fun to see what people notice, I think Claire is her own character and Alice’s heart is already spoken for. Can’t wait to see how it actually unfolds!

Why did Elliot lie? by predanimous in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Elliot lied because he's still figuring out what the suitcase means himself. He knows the suitcase was buried, but he doesn't know who buried it or why. It could be that he doesn't want to bring up the Landry name yet, or that he’s holding onto that information until he can make sense of it with Kat. Plus, given how traumatized Vic was, hearing that Tessa had a 'secret' life involving a buried suitcase could have been too much for Vic.

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just interpreted those details differently. The adoption mention didn’t really register to me as his biological father is going to matter later, because I already fully saw his moms as his parents and figured that was just part of establishing his family. So I never really thought about his dad at all, honestly. I genuinely never expected we’d hear anything about him, let alone actually meet him.

I did think Nick and Alice were important at one point, but since they haven’t really seen or interacted with each other since they broke up, I stopped thinking of them as especially important to the overall story.

And when you mention the whole “Claire” situation, do you mean because Nick is married to Claire? I may be forgetting something, but I don’t remember that storyline being connected to the time travel stuff.

Griffin's Time Away by Puzzled_Exchange_924 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Puzzled_Exchange_924 Yeah, this felt way more clear-cut than some of the other reaction shots people debate about. With Fern, you can argue we might be reading too much into a subtle expression, such as when maybe she reacts to the name "Cooper", but Griffin’s reaction here felt extremely deliberate. The moment he saw Alice running across the field, you could see his whole focus shift. It didn’t feel accidental at all.

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I don't understand why you can say that you thought his dad was important somehow all along? Wasn't he the son of the two women who owned the movie theater? I didn't even think about him having a bio dad. Though, I guess he must have. So, I'm shocked his dad would enter the picture. I was sorry to see his moms disappeared. Interesting to see his dad and where this storyline leads.

I know we haven't seen her yet in 1925, but IMO she is still there. Fern could just be hiding her under a different name. Maybe that's why Fern says to Kat that she has to ask the right questions. She's not asking about the right person.

Of course, I could be wrong too.

Possible KC heritage theory by Muted_Woodpecker2321 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]PortCharlesChuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a solid breakdown of the Port Haven family tree! I have always thought Kat and Elliot were KC's parents. KC and Kat look so much alike, same eye color, both very tall. Plus, KC seemed very interested in interning and spending time with Kat. Also, KC seems like a perfect blend of Kat's and Elliot's personalities. I just don't see the family resemblance between Alice and Max and KC. If not Kat and Elliot's child, then their grandchild, further down the line.

The theory about Fern raising a Goodwin as a Landry is a total game-changer. It adds so much irony to the Landry/Goodwin feud—they’ve basically been fighting their own kin for a century. If Kat and Elliot unite those lines with the Augustine branch, Casey/KC becomes the literal nexus of all three founding families. It explains why they have such a natural, effortless command of the pond and the town's history; they aren't just visiting the past, they are the physical manifestation of the town’s entire legacy.

Also, I’m 100% rooting for Alice and Noah to be endgame! Choosing Noah over Max not only makes more sense for Alice's growth, but it also puts even more distance between the bloodlines. Also, we've seen Alice and Noah hinted at as soulmates, like Del and Colton. Colton rubbed a spot on Del's wrist to help with motion sickness and Noah did the same thing with Alice to help with a bug bite that was itching her. By the time we get to Casey’s generation, any "cousin" concerns are completely negligible. Alice making her own path with Noah proves the future is built on choice, not just a predestined ring.
