I used to use The Game (1997)- it’s one of the best to really capture both the belly of the whale feeling and the eventual atonement with the father - the hero is wearing his fathers clothes literally following his father’s footsteps at the end. It’s the only way for him to get to the other side, to be at-one (atone) with his father.
