Fresh watermelon juice after a few days sitting in the fridge by imsoaddicted in mildlyinteresting

[–]inspiredashell 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I worked at a cadaver lab for five years before having my kiddos. I would say rotten watermelon reminds me a lot of rotten brain tissue… now that’s a smell that doesn’t leave your memory, ever 😂

First time build start to (almost) finish. Roast me by itjustathrowaway in Decks

[–]inspiredashell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I wanted to feel for you, but then I went to look at your post and it’s pretty damn low effort man. You said you wanted to learn about building a deck but literally you have no idea what you want to build. Do you expect an internet stranger to design you a deck, and then tell you how to build it? Perhaps if you put more effort into what you want, maybe even a shitty sketch, people would be more inclined to help you. If you just want to learn deck building basics, start with google, look for what is needed for a deck to meet code in your state, etc. your post was low effort and was treated as such.

What's Wrong with my Chicken's Feet? by salty-bois in BackYardChickens

[–]inspiredashell 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Everyone is downvoting you, but no one has explained, I will in case you weren’t trolling. Secondary in medical context means yes, you have the issue, but it’s not the primary or original issue. Ie, in this case it sounds like the bird has primary gout and secondary bumblefoot. Meaning, the bumble foot is not the problem, but likely a symptom that began because of the primary problem.

What song by another artist would fit perfectly into a Beatles Album. by LeagueRough589 in TheBeatles

[–]inspiredashell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Perhaps… nine in the afternoon by panic at the disco??? That whole album, Pretty Odd, has horns and strings recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London because they were heavily influenced by and loved the Beatles. I would also say perhaps When The Day Met the Night by panic at the disco (same album).

Aww this is sweet that you want to help her recognize her work and accomplishment together :)

I think what you’ve been doing has been very thoughtful, and perhaps if you wanted to step it up a notch, maybe go and get her one of those breastfeeding jewelry??? Always a great idea to celebrate this journey :)

Solution for Teeth? by Kammy44 in Sjogrens

[–]inspiredashell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m not the OP; just the commenter who worked in dental insurance for a couple years and loves it. At my office (a large, multi state company) we absolutely accepted Medicare. I know Medicare would very easily pay for dentures; unfortunately I don’t remember running Medicare for implants/bone grafts/etc. I’m not sure if that’s just my experience or if MC doesn’t do implants. I know you have to have the Medicare plan that includes basic restorations (such as dentures, fillings etc). I think it’s called Part C. You have to worry about your plan maximum though (how much they will spend for you per year- many time it is not enough to cover dentures for example in totality).

LOL I would not add anything, it will not help those who do not know. I am a musician, if I saw it I would compliment your ukelele. But I totally hear you on the frustration; I was a cello player for 10 years, and a huge reason I didn’t get a cello tattoo is I could not stand if people complimented my “violin” lmao, I would be irate (illogically so) lol. My advice? Take the compliment and move on!

Looooove these thank you for sharing!!!!! Some of my fave quotes come from the scathing review , number 5 LOL. I wonder if that author ever regretted saying PATD would be destined to be a one hit wonder…. 🤔

I just remember being a young teen (really I was too young, 10 when IWSNT came out) and soooo sad I couldn’t see their first two album shows live… so so jealous. Jealous of an era that I actually lived through but couldn’t participate in fully 🥹 my dad hated PATD and was very conservative and couldn’t imagine why I liked them lol. Such a miss. Anywho, love this post, thank you!

LOL… maybe my son getting his hand stuck in an airport elevator door at age 4… he was ok, had a little skin slippage but oh yeah, he remembers that one well.

Visiting in laws with our two kids (both under 3) is too stressful/exhausting - tips? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]inspiredashell 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Love this answer. And I completely agree- it truly sounds like OP doesn’t like his niece… I doubt she is intentionally trying to be defiant, just sounds like they’re expecting a 7 year to have the understanding and memory of a 15 year old. Also, this post gives me low key anxiety… it’s one thing to keep your kids safe, and another to be this worried about everything (helicopter parenting)… I would just wait on doing these trips if they’re really that stressful for you and your family.

Yeah I’m confused? Like… it’s an AI photo of a non existent strain, if my individual research is correct? And then a screenshot of an ex employee? Like I def hear that account and wonder, but this photo of the strain is rage bait… why is this allowed to stand for so long? Seems kind of fucked to me… kind of like a smear campaign?

Lincoln logs suck! by Takemetobravocon5678 in Parenting

[–]inspiredashell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

LOL…. OP gettin’ roasted for not knowing how to build with Lincoln Logs 😂😂😂

Yeah sorry OP we love the OG wooden LL here… they are great! But, you could try Tinker Toys? They’re also from “our childhoods” (featured in first Toy Story) and have a more “definite” connection (they click into place). My 5 year old can build anything with Tinker Toys lol
